We're seeking a skilled and customer-centric Product Manager to join our Enterprise AI Platform team. In this role, you will own the strategy for our end-to-end Developer Experience for model serving. These essential components of our Enterprise AI Platform-from SDKs and CLIs to UIs and documentation-define how internal teams interact with our AI and ML capabilities to move from idea to production, turning the theoretical value of those models into high-impact business results for our internal teams and our customers.
In this role as a Product Manager on the Enterprise AI Platform product team, you'll be instrumental in driving the development and adoption of cutting-edge AI capabilities across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with engineering, research, and business teams, acting as the voice of both customers and internal stakeholders. Your leadership will empower teams to build innovative, scalable solutions while navigating strategic, technical, and regulatory considerations.
The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about AI technology and deeply empathizes with developer needs. They are comfortable in conversation with stakeholders ranging from technical customers to senior leadership.
  • Customer's Spokesperson
    • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience and drive Product growth by aligning it to Capital One's mission.
    • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Business Focused
    • Demonstrate a growth mindset - effectively use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure your product or feature delivers on real business needs
    • Support in prioritizing feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk
    • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
    • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
  • Human Centered
    • You'll breakdown business needs into features and further into user stories, driving your team towards lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for a valid feature test
    • You'll collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria, identifying and elevating any need for additional research to define future feature design
  • Technology Driven
    • Work autonomously in an agile environment, to conduct research and develop features that utilize new and evolving technology
    • Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists and subject-matter experts to build cutting edge solutions to help customers
  • Transformational Teamwork
    • By actively participating in horizontal forums, you'll harness a network of trusted relationships among tech teams, designers, key internal stakeholders and partner teams
    • You'll articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share with with stakeholders, elevating your team's results and becoming a product matter expert

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and communicate the product vision for the holistic developer experience for production AI/ML workloads on the Enterprise AI Platform.
  • Prioritize the product backlog to maximize business and customer outcomes.
  • Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.
  • Maintain a healthy backlog of work and play a critical role in many agile ceremonies.
  • Serve as the connection between customers, Capital One's mission, and your team.

We want you if you are:
  • A strategic product leader who thrives on solving complex platform problems for technical users.
  • Experienced with the needs of model developers, ML engineers, Data Scientists, and AI researchers.
  • Comfortable with AI infrastructure, model deployment, and DevOps technologies for AI systems-even if you're not building them yourself.
  • Effective at building strong relationships across engineering, platform, and partner teams to drive alignment and execution.
  • Adaptable, curious, and can quickly ramp up on new technologies and advancements in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experienced working in an Agile environment.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly collaborative and have the ability to influence and lead.

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building developer-facing products (e.g., APIs, SDKs, CLIs, technical documentation) or platform products with a strong focus on user experience.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Cambridge, MA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Product Management
Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Product Management
McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Product Management
New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Product Management
Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Product Management
San Francisco, CA: $172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
