We are providing software and services to accelerate power development - unlocking one of the greatest opportunities of our time: transforming how infrastructure gets built and ensuring it’s built with renewable energy.

Paces is building the development engine for power projects and renewable infrastructure. We have built Agentic AI that automates early-stage due diligence and pairs it with in-house expertise to accelerate late-stage diligence. The result is projects that move from siting to construction-ready in a fraction of the time. Our platform supports renewable energy and data center developers, real estate firms, EV charging companies, and more by streamlining siting, interconnection, and permitting.

Our development timelines are aggressive and you will be asked to rigorously explore solutions for previously unsolved problems. 🏆 What You’ll Achieve

• Lead a cross-functional team to automate critical project development workflows across interconnection, design, and financing.
• Research new domains quickly, partner with world-class project developers, and turn insights into product direction.
• Make critical build vs. buy decisions on strategically important datasets and own commercial negotiations with vendors and partners.
• Own the product roadmap for interconnection and energy markets, focusing on the datasets, tools, and integrations that matter most.
• Work with leadership to define positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies for services offerings, ensuring alignment with the broader company vision.
• Prioritize ruthlessly between speed, scope, and value while separating signal from noise to keep strategy clear.
• Prototype rapidly with AI tools and work directly with messy geospatial and grid datasets when needed to accelerate the product development lifestyle.

📈 Requirements

• 4+ years of product management, software engineering, data science, or similar experience.
• 1+ years of early-stage startup experience.
• Strong experience working with data-driven or technical products.
• Proven ability to lead teams through ambiguous 0→1 product work.
• Technically fluent—comfortable working with APIs, datasets, and engineering tradeoffs.
• Skilled at making decisions under uncertainty and adjusting quickly.
• Experience balancing technical debt with product growth.
• Experience in power markets, grid infrastructure, or other energy tech.

• Former founder.
• Experience with AI tools for prototyping, analysis, or automation.
• Comfortable with Python and SQL for working with data directly.
• Write regularly and maintain a strong perspective about the industry (blog, Substack, etc.).

💰 Compensation and Benefits

• 160k-190k annual compensation
