Product Manager - Platform

OVERVIEW

This position can be based out of San Francisco or New York City.

We are seeking a Product Manager, Platform to own the application platform layer that services all of Modern Treasury’s Products. This individual will lead initiatives that span from managing our data products (e.g Push to Warehouse) to our Roles Based Access and Control system and more. You’ll be enabling teams to build on top of platform systems, driving platform scale, security, reliability, infrastructure, and internal technical enablement.

You have a proven track record of establishing and maturing application platforms for internal developer teams and products, leveraging the full product development lifecycle from discovery through enablement. You understand the power of providing a product / service that serves as a force-multiplier for our products and how to define and evaluate the success of platform products.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Product Manager working towards the success of Application Platform, you will be on the front lines of building for industry-leading payments, reconciliation and ledger systems at high scale.

• Build and Launch Platform Products: You will work closely with sales, customer success and our product teams to identify products and features that our enterprise customers need to succeed. These features will ensure our customers have the full lifecycle of products to be successful whether it be reporting, security or scalability.

• Strengthen our Core Products: You will work closely with our product teams as well as sales to identify capabilities that sit across teams. Your primary goal is to ensure anything that is currently being used by multiple teams or may be in the future is built on the application platform layer in a thoughtful and reusable way. This includes features like front end infrastructure, data services (e.g data ingestion, webhooks, reporting), bulk apis and more.

• Develop Metrics, developer velocity and stability: You’ll design metrics to ensure we are building the right capabilities to support our customers scale and our product teams needs. You will consistently partner with other developer teams to identify opportunities for improvement in the application layer often working as connective tissue between foundations and product.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Cross Product Pattern Identification: You thrive in a dynamic environment where you are able to identify needs across multiple teams, synthesize them and make recommendations. You lead the organization forward by balancing an independent roadmap of platform features with specific asks from product teams.

• Technical and Customer Fluency: You have exposure to technical products and are able to communicate with engineers on these topics. You do not have to be an engineer but you should have aptitude to engage on deep technical challenges. You have the ability to be the translator from technical to non-technical audiences in the organization.

• Product Management Experience: You have extensive experience as a product manager operating in dynamic, fast-moving environments.

• Platform Experience: You have experience building services for other internal teams. You have great collaboration skills working with almost every team in the organization to deliver services that support them.
