The Role:

Forge is seeking a Product Manager to assist in driving product development for our next generation private market trading platform.  

The role will focus on executing key deliverables on the product roadmap for the trading platform, delivering measurable customer outcomes and supporting the company’s strategies and objectives.  This role is an excellent opportunity to join our Product Management team and will have a tangible impact on the delivery of market-leading solutions to our growing customer base. This hybrid role will be based out of our New York City or San Francisco office. 

Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Product Management team, you will collaborate closely with program management, product designers and engineers to support the discovery of effective solutions to customer problems, and work with the cross-functional Product Team to deliver those solutions. You will drive product structure, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify risks
  • Effectively communicate product initiatives and deliverables to the broader teams, ensuring a shared understanding and alignment to deliver measurable customer outcomes through a trusted experience tailored to the needs of the market participants 
  • Develop a product vision and strategy that delivers value to and shape the experience for our institutional clients 
  • Define, own and manage the roadmap for a key product vertical on the Forge Trading Product team aligned to the firm’s strategic initiatives  
  • Be an ambassador and continue to evangelize our product management best practices across the organization to ensure optimal efficiency. Lead the charge in streamlining our Agile processes by facilitating Backlog grooming and key rituals like Stand-Ups, Planning, and Retrospectives 
  • Develop a framework and measure KPIs for product features and capabilities helping to inform current and future initiatives 
  • Lead product discovery efforts by: 
    • Assist with market analysis, competitive research, and user/customer research (both qualitative and quantitative) 
    • Partner with design to create/refine foundational artifacts (journey maps & archetypes/personas, early wireframes, and more) 
    • Assist with stakeholder engagement/communication 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5-8 years working on a technology-powered financial services product as a Product Manager with a proven track record of bringing both products and platform-based solutions from concept to launch  
  • A customer-focused, outcome-driven mindset, with the ability to discover solutions to difficult customer and business problems within numerous constraints 
  • Demonstrated understanding of institutional and retail trading workflows, trading UIs and systems, and post trade processes. 
  • Planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with key stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to engage productively with engineers, designers, business stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Legal & Compliance, Finance, Marketing, etc.), and company leadership in a constructive and collaborative relationship  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience building products inside a FinTech company. Specific experience with the capital markets, private markets, secondary transactions and workflows and trading UIs highly desired 
  • Experience defining and building asset management/trading institutional customer-facing UI and UX financial solutions 
  • Product management training or certifications (e.g., CSPO), or interest in ongoing training through relevant programs 

For residents of San Francisco/Bay Area, CA or New York, NY the annual salary range for this role is $135,000-$145,000 + bonus & equity. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors
