About the Role:

We are looking for a Platform Product Manager to drive the execution of core platform capabilities that drive activation, retention, and long-term customer value across SecurityScorecard’s products. This role is critical to enabling engineering teams, enhancing platform services, and ensuring our infrastructure supports future growth.  

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product, you will be responsible for defining platform requirements, driving technical initiatives, and prioritizing features that unlock engineering capabilities and enable engineering teams to move faster and drive Gross Revenue Retention (GRR).

As part of a fast-growing startup, you will be expected to interface with customers, maintain technical documentation, collaborate with marketing and sales teams, and address challenges that arise as we scale. Responsibilities:
Platform Roadmap Execution  

  • Define strategies to improve activation rates by ensuring frictionless onboarding onto platform services.
  • Partner with engineering and design teams to build core platform features that enhance scalability, performance, and extensibility.  
  • Maintain internal platform services such as, SSO, RBAC, accessibility, reporting to improve platform efficiency.  
  • Prioritize bugs, regressions, and platform enhancements, ensuring seamless operation for internal and external users.
  • Work with design system teams to ensure UI/UX consistency across platform features.  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with multiple product teams and customer-facing teams to triage and prioritize client requests based on business value and technical feasibility.  
  • Engage with enterprise customers to understand their security needs and translate them into platform capabilities.  
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Sales teams to develop collateral for platform features, ensuring clear communication with customers.  

Technical & Market Research  

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to stay ahead of emerging platform technologies and trends.  
  • Develop a deep understanding of user engagement, engineering constraints, and system limitations to make informed trade-offs.  
  • Continuously improve platform scalability, reliability, and security, leveraging insights from customer feedback and performance data.  
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.  

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications  

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience with a focus on platform services and deep technical topics.  
  • Strong understanding of B2B SaaS products, security use cases, and enterprise software challenges in an agile environment.  
  • Metrics-driven mindset, with experience developing OKRs/KPIs related to activation, engagement, and GRR.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade platform services such as SSO, RBAC/Identity Management, Reporting, Accessibility, and Localization.  
  • Proven ability to define and prioritize user requirements balancing business impact with technical feasibility.  
  • Additional Qualifications (Preferred, but not required)  
  • Experience working with notification platforms, rules engines, and authentication protocols.
  • Background in cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
  • Exposure to data science and machine learning applications in security.
  • Experience working with design system teams to drive UI consistency across platform features.
