About Vector

Vector builds mobile and web technology that makes freight move faster. Our platform is used by warehouses, distribution centers, and carriers to streamline check-ins, appointments, dock scheduling, and driver workflows.

About the Role

As a Product Manager at Vector, you’ll be responsible for building the tools that will modernize the logistics industry. Product Management at Vector sits at the intersection of software development, design, and business strategy. We shape high-level product goals but also get our hands dirty. On an average day, you might conduct an in-depth interview with a customer stakeholder, pitch a concept to the team, create a launch plan with marketing, conduct user research, prototype a new feature, iterate on a PRD, analyze usage data, and pair with an engineer on implementation. We have ultimate responsibility for understanding our users’ needs, influencing business strategy, feature specification, and working with solutions and engineering teams to develop our software for successful delivery to our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Own the roadmap for deploying and administering Vector at enterprise scale

  • As an embedded partner within our Solutions Engineering organization, identify untapped strategies and efficiencies to streamline and accelerate development cycles

  • Prioritize potential projects through demonstrating their alignment with our business strategy and the value to our current or future users

  • Communicate that prioritization to other stakeholders in the company and drive consensus on the path forward

  • Work closely with engineering, design, customer success and other team members on business cases, product requirements, development, launch, and adoption

  • Understand Vector’s strategic position and deliver innovative products that align with this strategy

  • Work directly with our clients to unearth pain points and understand their most pressing needs

  • Communicate with the rest of the company the how and why for features

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in enterprise / B2B SaaS product management

  • A track record of execution in project management showing impact in driving projects forward within an organization

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build strong data-driven arguments, prioritize with business strategy in mind, and evangelize projects to build consensus within an organization

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills - interface with our clients as well as internal stakeholders: solutions engineers, deployments, client success, sales and marketing

  • Thrive in a startup environment and in ambiguity

  • Active listener with exceptional customer focus

  • High integrity, able to build trust and collaborate through differing opinions

Benefits

  • Employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, 401K, life & disability insurance

  • Flexible paid time off and observed federal holidays

  • Stock options

  • Parental leave of absence

  • Competitive stipend

  • Flat org structure, offering startup growth and learning paths

Salary Range

$175,000 - $200,000 USD

Individual pay depends on various factors, such as region, role level, relevant experience and skills. Pay ranges are reviewed and updated typically each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
