About the Role 

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing team supporting Datacor’s engineering software division. This person will have a strong engineering background to drive the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for our engineering simulation software products. This role bridges technical expertise with customer-focused storytelling to ensure our solutions are clearly differentiated in the market. 

The ideal candidate will combine product marketing experience with a degree in engineering, enabling them to translate complex technical concepts into compelling value propositions for engineers, plant operators, and decision-makers. The marketing team is a lean, high-output team and the right candidate is energized by both strategy and execution. 

Responsibilities: 

Market Positioning & Messaging 

  • Develop differentiated product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for our engineering simulation solutions in a variety of industries and applications.  
  • Deeply understand and communicate how the Datacor software and applications enhance mechanical and chemical engineering process design and analysis. 
  • Create technical and commercial content, including product briefs, blog posts, technical papers, case studies, competitive battlecards, and more. 

Go-to-Market Strategy 

  • Lead go-to-market planning for new product launches and major releases, working cross-functionally with product management, sales, demand generation, and services teams. 
  • Write, design and execute email campaigns (copy and visuals) for customers to promote product adoption and company information.  
  • Partner with events and demand generation teams to execute prospective and customer marketing campaigns including webinars, conferences, trade shows, and email marketing. 
  • Work with global channel partners and provide marketing assets that enable them to effectively promote and sell Datacor Engineering solutions. 
  • Ability to capture technical use cases and customer use cases into commercial content. 

Customer & Market Insight 

  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and trends. 
  • Gather customer feedback to inform product roadmaps and marketing strategy. 
  • Develop buyer personas and map customer journeys to guide marketing programs. 
  • Comfortable working with complex and technical customer audiences. 

Sales Enablement & External Engagement 

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive library of sales enablement materials including presentations, product collateral, product demo videos, training guides, and more. 
  • Develop and deliver (as needed) presentation decks for customer meetings, conferences, and sales engagements. 
  • Represent the company by presenting at conferences, symposiums, and industry events to technical audiences. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering strongly preferred). 
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or a related role within engineering software, simulation, or process industries. 
  • Comfortable moving fluidly between strategic and executional work, with a 'whatever needs to be done' approach to contributing on a small team. 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical product capabilities into clear, customer-focused messaging. Must be able to translate complex engineering and product data and information into business value. 
  • Strong analytical skills with experience conducting competitive and market analysis. 
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting complex information to technical and business audiences. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision, while meeting deadlines and delivering results.
