Company Operating Rhythm

At Deepgram, we expect an AI-first mindset—AI use and comfort aren’t optional, they’re core to how we operate, innovate, and measure performance.

Every team member who works at Deepgram is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, and even build your own into your everyday work. We measure how effectively AI is applied to deliver results, and consistent, creative use of the latest AI capabilities is key to success here. Candidates should be comfortable adopting new models and modes quickly, integrating AI into their workflows, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can do.

Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.

Product Marketing Manager, Customer Marketing

Deepgram is looking for a Product Marketing Manager, Customer Marketing to build and own our customer storytelling and advocacy engine.

You’ll sit within Product Marketing and partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, RevOps, BD, and Partner Marketing to turn real customer outcomes into high-impact proof points that drive pipeline, win rates, and expansion.

This role is both builder and operator: you’ll create the systems, processes, and programs that make it easy to source customer stories, activate advocates, and deliver assets that Sales and CS actually use.

What You’ll DoOwn the customer storytelling engine
  • Build and run the end-to-end pipeline: source customers, conduct interviews, write case studies, manage approvals, and publish assets

  • Organize content by industry, use case, and persona so Sales and partners can easily find and use it

Build and scale the customer reference program
  • Recruit and manage a pool of referenceable customers in partnership with Sales and CS

  • Create a simple system for AEs/AMs to quickly find and activate the right reference

  • Track utilization and influence on deals

Drive third-party reviews (G2, Gartner Peer Insights)
  • Design scalable, low-lift programs with CS and Marketing Ops to increase review volume and quality

  • Balance growth with strong customer experience

Create customer-facing enablement content
  • Develop onboarding guides, adoption playbooks, product updates, and newsletters

  • Partner with Product, CS, and Growth to drive adoption, usage, and expansion

Support “Powered by Deepgram” and co-marketing efforts
  • Coordinate quotes, approvals, and customer participation across launches, events, and partner campaigns

  • Work closely with BD and Partner Marketing to amplify customer stories

Measure and improve impact
  • Track key metrics:

    • Case study production and usage

    • Reference program utilization

    • Deal influence

    • Review growth and quality

  • Share insights with Sales, CS, and leadership to continuously improve programs

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You
  • Have built or scaled customer marketing / advocacy programs and can show real outputs

  • Think of customer storytelling as a revenue driver, not just brand marketing

  • Proactively source stories and know how to partner with Sales and CS to find the right advocates

  • Are highly organized and enjoy building lightweight systems, trackers, and processes

  • Are a strong interviewer who can turn short conversations into compelling, credible stories

  • Enjoy working cross-functionally and aligning multiple stakeholders

  • Are excited about AI, developer tools, or technical products

What We’re Looking ForMust-Haves
  • 3–5 years of experience in customer marketing, advocacy, or related roles in B2B SaaS

  • Proven experience producing case studies end-to-end (sourcing → interview → writing → approvals → publication)

  • Experience building and managing a customer advocacy pipeline in partnership with Sales/CS

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt for different audiences (enterprise, technical, business)

  • Solid project management skills; able to run multiple programs simultaneously

  • Experience creating content that Sales and CS teams actively use

Note: You’ll be asked to share a portfolio of relevant work (case studies, campaigns, or enablement content).

Nice to Have
  • Experience in AI/ML, developer tools, API-first products, or voice/speech technology

  • Background supporting sales enablement with customer proof (e.g., vertical stories, battlecards)

  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, G2

  • Experience with video testimonials, webinars, or customer co-marketing

  • Experience in high-growth startups building programs from scratch

Why This Role Matters

This is a high-impact, highly visible role that sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Customer Success.

You’ll define how Deepgram:

  • Tells its customer story

  • Proves value in-market

  • Activates customers as a growth lever

*For candidates outside of the US, we use an Employer of Record model in many countries, which means benefits are administered locally and governed by country-specific regulations. Because of this, benefits will differ by region — in some cases international employees receive benefits US employees do not, and vice versa. As we scale, we will continue to evaluate where we can create more alignment, but a 1:1 global benefits structure is not always legally or operationally possible.

Backed by prominent investors including Y Combinator, Madrona, Tiger Global, Wing VC and NVIDIA, Deepgram has raised over $215M in total funding. If you're looking to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the AI industry, we'd love to hear from you!

Deepgram is an equal opportunity employer. We want all voices and perspectives represented in our workforce. We are a curious bunch focused on collaboration and doing the right thing. We put our customers first, grow together and move quickly. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status, pregnancy, parental status, genetic information, political affiliation, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.

We are happy to provide accommodations for applicants who need them.
