🎯 Our Mission

At Pulley, we are on a mission to help construction teams break ground faster. The United States is short between 4-7 million homes while housing production and affordability remain near historic lows. Meanwhile, retail and office real estate are still adapting to the post-pandemic world and the AI boom has led to significant investments in data center infrastructure.

Permitting requirements vary vastly by jurisdiction, making it challenging to navigate for home builders, retailers, architects and contractors. It creates a critical bottleneck that every project must traverse. While the industry remains largely fragmented and underserved, we believe that combining cutting-edge software with permitting expertise can condense permitting timelines from months to days or even hours!

🏗️ About Us

We are a passionate team building software for the built environment around us. Founded by Charlie Jacobson and Andreas Rotenberg in 2021, our team combines deep experience in real estate and construction with a track record of shipping software loved by millions of customers.

We’re backed by CRV, Susa Ventures, BoxGroup, Fifth Wall, Operator, South Park Commons, Suffolk Construction and leaders from Plaid, Segment, Procore, ServiceTitan, Built, BuildZoom, and eero.

🏠 What We’re Building

We’re building the world’s first software platform for construction permitting — for any project, in any city. Our north star is speed; everything we do is in the service of helping our customers get their permits as fast as possible.

We serve some of the top developers, builders, retailers and architects in the industry to permit new apartment buildings, office space, homes, stores and much more!

🧑‍💻 The Role

📋 What You’ll Do

  • Create and maintain personas, messaging frameworks, value propositions, and competitive positioning that clarify who we sell to, what we say, and how we win

  • Translate product capabilities into clear customer benefits grounded in real-world use cases

  • Write and produce website pages, product explainers, one-pagers, pitch decks, and other sales collateral

  • Partner with Sales to refine talk tracks, objection handling, and customer-facing narratives

  • Build internal enablement materials for product launches, new features, and strategic updates

  • Support cross-functional teams with concise, accurate resource documents.

  • Conduct user interviews, win/loss analysis, competitive research, and market landscape assessments

  • Turn findings into actionable recommendations for product positioning, differentiation, and feature prioritization

🌟 Who You Are

  • Hands-on operator. You enjoy writing, researching, and producing the work yourself.

  • Strong communicator. You can take complexity and distill it into sharp, compelling language.

  • Self-starter in ambiguity. You turn fuzzy inputs into clear outputs with minimal direction.

  • Storyteller. You care deeply about narrative structure, clarity, and framing.

  • Builder mentality. You’re energized by messy, early-stage environments and see opportunity in the blank spaces.

  • Cross-functional partner. You build trust with Sales, Product, and Leadership by being reliable and easy to work with.

  • Insight-driven. You back your work with research, customer conversations, and data.

  • Resourceful. If the answer doesn’t exist, you hunt it down or create it.

What You’ve Done

  • 3+ years in product marketing at a B2B SaaS or tech company

  • Proven experience creating messaging frameworks, personas, or product-centric content

  • Strong writing portfolio across website pages, sales collateral, product explainers, or long-form content

  • Experience partnering with Sales and Product to drive alignment and clarity

  • Comfort conducting research and synthesizing insights into structured recommendations

  • Bonus: Experience in commercial real estate, construction tech, or complex B2B categories

Compensation Range: $110K - $150K
