This position is based out of Button’s New York City hub, with three days in office each week.
Role Overview
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will define how Button brings its products to market — shaping positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy across our suite of performance marketing solutions.
You will sit at the intersection of Product, Partner Success, Sales, and Marketing, ensuring that Button’s products are clearly understood, effectively adopted, and positioned to win in a competitive and rapidly evolving ecosystem.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on translating complex product capabilities into compelling narratives that drive adoption and revenue.
AS A PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER, YOU WILL:Product Positioning & Messaging- Develop clear, differentiated positioning and messaging for Button’s products across advertisers, publishers, and partners
- Translate technical product capabilities into value-driven narratives tailored to different audiences (e.g., retailers, affiliate partners, creators)
- Continuously refine messaging based on market feedback, performance data, and competitive dynamics
- Own end-to-end go-to-market strategy for new product launches and feature releases
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Partner Success to ensure successful launches and adoption
- Define target segments, use cases, and ideal customer profiles for new and existing products
- Build launch plans including enablement, content, and demand generation alignment
- Create high-impact sales materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and objection handling guides
- Enable Partner Success Managers and Partner Development Associates with messaging, positioning, and product knowledge
- Support strategic deals with tailored narratives and materials
- Conduct ongoing research on competitors, industry trends, and the broader affiliate/creator economy landscape
- Develop and maintain competitive positioning and battlecards
- Identify emerging opportunities and inform product strategy based on market insights
- Gather and synthesize feedback from advertisers, publishers, and internal teams
- Use data and insights to inform positioning, product roadmap input, and GTM strategy
- Partner with Product to ensure customer needs are reflected in product development
- Collaborate with Marketing to produce content that drives awareness and adoption (e.g., blog posts, case studies, webinars, product announcements)
- Help position Button as a leader in performance marketing and the creator/affiliate ecosystem
- 3–6 years of experience in product marketing, growth, or related roles (preferably in B2B SaaS, adtech, martech, or marketplaces)
- Strong ability to translate complex products into clear, compelling messaging
- Experience owning or contributing to product launches and go-to-market strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Product, Sales, and Marketing
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders
- Curiosity about performance marketing, affiliate ecosystems, and the creator economy
Button’s total compensation package includes a base salary competitive with what is offered by similar companies in major US markets. The salary range for this role in the United States is expected to be between $120,000 - $150,000 (offered salary is based on a number of factors including skills and experience relative to the job description listed above). In addition, Button provides employees with a 401(k) plan and automatically contributes 3% of an employee’s salary annually. For many of the health, vision, and dental insurance plans offered by Button, the company covers 100% of the premiums for employees and 75% for dependents.
