At Thoughtly we're looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our team.

About Thoughtly

Thoughtly is the AI-native voice platform that's turning every lead into a real conversation. Thoughtly's agents call, qualify, and convert pipeline at scale — no SDRs, no static funnels, no code required. For the first time in our customers' history, they can reach 100% of all leads. Enterprise teams at 2U, Siemens, and Nomad are augmenting their outbound teams with Thoughtly, with customers seeing close rates jump from 16% to 38% on their lowest-rated leads.

This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build for a $1T annual market. Voice was just the beginning — Thoughtly is building the first fully autonomous CRM. It doesn't just track work — it does the work. The system of record becomes the system of action. This seed-stage rocket ship is backed by top investors like Armory Square Ventures, Afore, and Greycroft.

About the role

We're hiring our first Product Marketing Manager to own how Thoughtly shows up in the market — the positioning, the narrative, the proof points, and the sales tools that turn pipeline into revenue. Most PMM roles are about incremental improvements to an existing narrative. This one isn't. You'd be defining positioning for a category that's still taking shape — conversational AI doesn't have a dominant story yet, and there's no playbook to copy.

You'll translate what our AI agents actually do into messaging that resonates with senior-level buyers across edtech, real estate, insurance, etc — people who are skeptical of vendor claims and allergic to buzzwords. On the website, in the sales deck, in onboarding, at the conference booth: you define how we show up.

You'll partner with our Demand Gen Manager and GTM Engineer to build the GTM engine from the ground up — shaping how we position against legacy dialers and CRMs, enabling a sales team selling five- and six-figure deals, and turning customer results into our most powerful marketing asset.

You'll work directly with the founding team, own the customer-facing narrative end-to-end, and build the sales toolkit from scratch. If you want a career-defining PMM role, this is the stage to do it.

What You'll DoPositioning & Messaging
  • Define product positioning: what Thoughtly is, who it's for, why it wins

  • Own positioning for every feature and product line — why it exists, who it's for, how to talk about it

  • Translate capabilities into business value, not technical specs. A CFO should be able to read your one-pager and get it immediately

  • Document and maintain the messaging framework that keeps everything consistent across personas (VP Marketing, VP Sales, etc.) and verticals (insurance, edtech, real estate)

Product Launches & GTM

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to turn releases into adoption — not just announcements

  • Own launch messaging and assets end-to-end with high velocity: take a new feature from announcement to fully enabled sales team within days, not weeks

  • Drive the narrative for both self-serve users and sales-assisted prospects

Sales Enablement

  • Build the toolkit that closes deals: battlecards, objection handling, discovery frameworks, ROI calculators, vertical-specific one-pagers, and demo scripts that AEs actually pull into conversations

  • Own competitive intelligence — know the landscape cold, keep the team armed, track product moves and pricing changes across the conversational AI space

  • Be the person sales calls when they need the right words for a tricky deal

Customer Proof & Narrative

  • Develop customer proof points — case studies, data snapshots, and reference programs — that give prospects confidence in five- and six-figure purchase decisions

  • Run win/loss analysis and ICP research. Bring those insights back into product and sales strategy

  • Partner with Demand Gen to turn competitive intelligence and customer stories into campaign fuel

Required Experience:
  • 4–6 years in product marketing at a high-growth B2B SaaS company, ideally in AI, voice tech, developer tools, or GTM tech

  • A track record of building sales enablement and competitive positioning that directly impacted revenue — not just content volume

  • Experience owning launches end-to-end: positioning, messaging, channel strategy, internal rollout

  • Exceptional writer. You can distill complex technical capabilities into messaging a VP of Sales would actually read — and a CFO would actually forward.

  • Experience supporting both PLG and sales-assisted motions

  • AI-native. You're fluent with Claude, ChatGPT, or similar for research, content creation, and workflow acceleration

Nice to Have
  • Experience at a seed or Series A company where you were the first or second marketing hire

  • Familiarity with the conversational AI / voice AI space (Retell, Vapi, Bland AI, Replicant)

  • Experience marketing to non-digital-native buyers in traditional industries (insurance, real estate, financial services)

  • Background in competitive intelligence or analyst relations

  • You've worked closely with a sales team selling into mid-market

Compensation

Thoughtly's compensation package includes a competitive base salary benchmarked against real-time market data, as well as equity for all full-time roles. We also offer exceptional benefits. Our compensation range for this role is: $130,000 – $170,000. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
