Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

  • You will drive the end-to-end localization process related Commerce and Legal for all core projects and supported content. Focusing on execution but also in the long term improvements.

  • You think about the strategic and technical solutions to achieve business goals of Disney. You work to ensure your team’s resources are being spent in ways that align with those goals.

  • You will drive technical implementations working with engineering teams so we improve development and create a more engaging global Disney+ product.

  • You would focus on enabling tools and efficiencies that allow all our processes and systems to run on time and smoothly and never allow localization to be a blocker.

  • You are able to communicate effectively the business and legal requirements from internal teams to engineers, designers, language-service providers, localization QA, and other stakeholders.

  • You identify, gather, and drive consensus among all required groups across the company when trying to accomplish larger goals. You resolve blockers in other teams to move forward.

  • Help core product teams, designers, and engineers to recognize international requirements to be able to create a culturally and linguistically appropriate product. 

  • Provide up-to-date visibility and communication for large projects, as well as progress for our team goals.

Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible for managing a collection of related Commerce-led features or portions of key products. This role requires in-depth product management knowledge and the ability to work independently, with minimal guidance. The P2 PM coordinates day-to-day execution, influences team decisions, and provides informal guidance to junior team members. They communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, create clear documentation, and manage stakeholder interactions.

  • The P2 PM plans and manages the execution of multiple features, prioritizes tasks, manages backlogs, and ensures quality launches. They are expected to analyze trade-offs, hit sprint goals, and drive measurable product outcomes such as feature adoption and metric improvements. The role is outcome-based, with success measured by product impact and personal contribution to team velocity and autonomy

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management and within the Globalization/Localization Product field.

  • BA or MA in an area related to international product management, localization, project management, or a related field is preferred.

  • Track record of managing and releasing complex and high-quality globalized products in collaboration with core product teams. 

  • Knowledge of globalization best practices and internationalization requirements.

  • Background establishing process, supporting teams, developing relationships, and managing end-to-end for multiple localization programs.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience interacting with senior leadership.

  • Track record of being a self-starter, self-motivated and outcome-oriented individual who seeks ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of hands-on program management experience in Globalization Operations or Globalization Program Management. 

  • Passionate and enthusiastic about excellence and attention to detail.

  • Deep understanding of translation management systems (TMS), computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, and automation technologies.

  • Proven experience in integrating GenAI, Neural Machine Translation (NMT), and LLMs into localization pipelines and content workflows.

#DISNEYTECH

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $112,000.00 - $150,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
