Product Owner / Discovery Lead
About the Role

We are looking for a client-focused Product Owner to bridge the gap between business opportunities and successful project execution. This role owns the discovery process from the first client conversation through the delivery of a comprehensive Discovery Document that provides the foundation for development.

You will partner with prospects, clients, sales, and technical teams to understand business goals, define product requirements, identify risks, and create a clear implementation roadmap. 

This is a highly collaborative, client-facing role requiring strong communication, business analysis, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead discovery meetings with prospective and existing clients.
  • Conduct business and technical discovery to understand goals, challenges, workflows, and requirements.
  • Ask strategic questions that uncover business needs rather than only requested features.
  • Translate business problems into clear product requirements and solution recommendations.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, AI specialists, and architects during the discovery process.
  • Define project scope, priorities, assumptions, risks, and dependencies.
  • Prepare project proposals, statements of work, estimates, and implementation recommendations.
  • Lead the internal discovery team and coordinate contributions from technical experts.
  • Produce high-quality Discovery Documents that clearly define the solution before development begins.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Manage client expectations throughout the discovery process.
  • Ensure a smooth handoff from discovery into delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, Solutions Consultant, or similar role.
  • Experience leading client-facing discovery sessions.
  • Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills.
  • Experience writing functional requirements and user stories.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
  • Experience working with Agile software development teams.
  • Ability to prioritize competing business needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with software consulting companies or digital agencies.
  • Experience with AI, automation, or digital transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with UX discovery and design thinking.
  • Experience preparing Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern software architectures.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, or similar collaboration tools.
