Our challenge

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Product Owner to lead the development and management of our Syndicate Loan and Investment Banking (IB) products. The ideal candidate will possess extensive Capital Markets knowledge, a strong track record in syndicate loans, and experience working closely with large IB teams to shape product requirements.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $130k - $150k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Define and prioritize product features, develop detailed requirements, and create comprehensive specifications aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand strategic goals and ensure product development delivers value.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, set OKRs, and oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, including AI and GenAI applications, integrating innovative approaches into product strategies.
  • Facilitate communication and presentation of product plans, progress, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of a vision for syndicate loan and IB products, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Capital Markets products, with a focus on syndicate loans and related topics.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in syndicate loans, with demonstrable expertise in shaping requirements for large Investment Banking operations.
  • At least 1 year of experience exploring AI and GenAI-based approaches and integrating them into product solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Based in New York, NY, with proximity to key financial centers preferred.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Advanced Finance degree or CFA Level 1 charter holder.
  • Familiarity with dealing platforms and market data providers.
  • Proven experience in creating product roadmaps and defining OKRs.
  • Previous IB trading experience highly preferred but not mandatory.
