About this Role:

As a member of an Agile Scrum team, the Product Owner is responsible for the success of the product by maximizing the output of the development team. The Product Owner directs and coordinates product development and serves as a collaborative liaison between the Product Management and Product Delivery teams by prioritizing and evaluating work. This individual will maintain the product/team backlog, lead backlog prioritization of initiatives, and align experiences across channels and touchpoints to ensure the best business results.

Responsibilities:

Act proactively to consistently deliver on commitments with little supervision.
Analyze and communicate customer requirements to provide innovative solutions and recommend system, product, and process enhancements.
Identify, evaluate, and introduce new approaches or technologies for product development.
Explore alternative ways to view and solve problems to achieve results beyond expectations.
Leverage innovation tools, creative processes, and cross-functional expertise to generate ideas.
Focus on continuously improving processes, products, and services while exploring innovative approaches.
Take advantage of opportunities to try new methods and test promising ideas.
Ask insightful questions to understand current practices and customer experiences before solving problems.
Understand stakeholder needs (internal partners, suppliers, customers) to identify innovation opportunities.
Communicate the potential benefits of new ideas to stakeholders.
Influence others by fostering a collaborative and empowered environment to gain acceptance of ideas and plans.
Take immediate action when addressing problems or emerging situations.
Collaborate with Program/Product Managers to create and communicate product roadmap initiatives.
Develop innovative solutions with measurable value for customers (internal and external).
Partner with vendors and internal teams to define tasks, ensure documentation, and meet timelines within SLAs.
Communicate with leadership, business partners, and vendors on project status and performance.
Ensure coordination across teams to manage product launch scope and deliver key features on time.
Work with Agile teams to create high-quality, customer-centric user stories.
Lead product backlog prioritization in partnership with product management.
Measure product performance using relevant data, processes, and systems to ensure accountability for business results.

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of risk management, loss control management, and vendor coordination.
Strong understanding of vision/roadmap creation and backlog creation, refinement, and prioritization across portfolio, program, and team levels.
Proficiency in XML/JSON-based APIs, cloud technologies, service virtualization, test data management, and data-driven decision-making.
Working knowledge of Agile/SAFe Lean enterprise concepts and best practices.
Experience working in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, UX teams, project managers, product managers, and developers.
Ability to define product roadmaps and identify requirements effectively.
Demonstrated servant leadership principles and practices.
Ability to deliver high-quality product experiences using design thinking and lean methodologies.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels.
Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
Effective presentation skills.

Experience and Education:

experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an Agile Scrum environment is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Agile certification (PSPO, CSP-PO, or POPM/APM) is required.


Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 50,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 175,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
This position is available for independent contractors
