Job Overview

The Product Specialist team at Macrobond consists of experts who provide technical guidance across our research systems, macroeconomic, and financial data. They play a key role in ensuring a seamless client experience through product training, troubleshooting, and client engagement.

Product Specialists are integral to the sales process, helping prospects and new clients maximize the value of our offering. Acting as workflow and market experts, they combine strong macroeconomic knowledge with deep product expertise to engage with stakeholders ranging from analysts to C-level executives.

This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Data, and Customer Success teams to drive innovation and enhance our offering. The role is both technical and commercial, supporting revenue growth by helping close new business and expand existing relationships.


Job Responsibilities


  • Developing In-Depth Product Knowledge: Gaining a comprehensive understanding of Macrobond's product line, including its functionality, design, and benefits.
  • Customer Engagement: Interacting with customers to identify their needs and suggest appropriate products.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conducting product demonstrations or presentations to clients and potential customers.
  • Marketing Support: Assisting in the creation of promotional materials and product marketing strategies.
  • Sales Collaboration: Working closely with the sales and marketing teams to achieve sales objectives.
  • Pre-Sale Support: Providing pre-sale support and feedback to customers.
  • Market Monitoring: Keeping an eye on market trends and competitor products.
  • Training: Training other staff members about the product details.
  • Product Development: Assisting in product development and enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolving product-related issues in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications and experience


  • 1-4 years of experience working in the Financial Services, Market/Financial Data (ideally), or financial industry at large in a technical role e.g. researcher, analyst, economist, pre-sales, or product/market specialist.
  • Eager to learn and thrive in a client-facing, technically involved role.
  • A strong communicator with excellent presentation skills; having the ability to convey complex ideas simply and concisely.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented—working knowledge of Python, R, or another scripting language is a plus (especially for our Web API offering).
  • Proactive, collaborative, and solution focused.
