Group Product Manager
Hinge is hiring a Group Product Manager who will manage a small team of PMs and report to our CPO. We are the dating app designed to be deleted and we mean that sincerely. When we improve our effectiveness at creating dates, our retention increases and we grow faster. We believe that by fostering credible optimism, people will be motivated to invest in their Hinge experience until they meet someone great. Responsibilities
- Oversee one of three product workstreams, Growth, alongside Experience and Revenue.
- Create a foundational framework, long-term vision, and medium-term roadmap.
- Analyze data to identify problems and opportunities with the support of our data science team.
- Collaborate with design to develop features and partner with engineers to write specs.
- Foster feedback loops with the team at large. We have a lightweight process for this.
- Support product operations, who project manage our agile-esque development cycles.
- Invest in the infrastructure of an optimization machine while exploring creative leaps.
- Set a vision, mentoring your team, and helping shape how the product team scales.
About You
- 7+ years of product management experience with 2+ years of managing a team of product managers
- Excellent people management skills: you coach (without micromanaging) and thoughtfully advocate for the needs of your team.
- 2+ years working on growth
- Well rounded between research, design, data analysis, and technical collaboration, with an emphasis on data analysis.
Objectives in the first 6 months
- Long-term growth strategy is defined and in progress.
- Make a substantial change to retention/growth, with both optimizations and innovations in development.
- Align with direct reports on their performance and expectations, and the group is at full speed.
- Hire a lifecycle manager who is starting to meaningfully contribute.
