An opportunity exists to join the Client Solutions Group ("CSG") in Macquarie Asset Management ("MAM") as a Managing Director, Private Credit Product Specialist in New York.
As a senior member of the team, you will support delivering an ambitious Private Credit business plan through fundraising, investor relations and the product development effort across MAM's Private Credit business in the Americas and globally. You will report to the Global Head of Private Credit, CSG and work with a range of senior stakeholders within Macquarie Asset Management and will become a key touch point with Macquarie Asset Management's existing and prospective investors, and an important driver of capital raising outcomes for the firm.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering the private credit budget and business plan for the Americas including key strategic initiatives, marketing and events
  • Oversight of private credit fundraising activities in the Americas including feeding into new product development, management of SMAs, negotiation of terms with incoming investors, leading investor pitches
  • Supporting the rollout of new private credit funds, providing feedback from investors in the Americas to ensure the new private credit products are suitable for the target investor base in the region
  • Supporting the relationship managers' servicing of key investors in the Americas, including ad hoc information requests, oversight of RFPs, regular client interactions and looking for opportunities to deepen relationships with key strategic clients for private credit
  • Supporting the Investment Team across the globe by providing investor feedback on co-investments and the structuring of specific transactions
  • Providing input into private credit related communications, responses to investor enquiries, data analysis, presentations and marketing strategy, including thought leadership pieces
  • Providing insights on the US market to the wider team of product specialists, including investor feedback, competitor analysis and transaction data


You will have extensive experience within fixed income / private credit in the Americas, with the ability to form and maintain excellent international relationships across a suite of internal and external stakeholders. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence employees, partners, and stakeholders of all levels to deliver the Americas private credit budget and strategy. Experience providing solutions to insurance companies is preferred but not essential.
Your strategic orientation to develop the private credit business in the Americas with a collaborative work style and willingness to share knowledge will be well placed in this role.
Salary range for this position: $250000 - $350000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
