Product Engineer

Resident is seeking an All Star Product Engineer to join our team. The Product Engineer will be responsible for all engineering and quality activities and performance for existing products as well as product transition to production. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment where they're comfortable wearing many hats at once.
**This is a Full Time Remote Role with 30-40% Travel Required. To be considered for this opportunity you must reside within the United States.**
Responsbilities
- Maintain and update all engineering records including specifications, drawings, BOM’s, key process specs
- Monitor and drive improvements in product returns related to design and manufacturing quality
- Develop and administer quality plans with suppliers and drive improvements in process and product quality
- Work closely with product development and suppliers to effectively test new products to meet specifications prior to release to production
- Assess process capabilities around new products at suppliers, driving to consistent product performance at suppliers and between supplier
- Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance for all products
- Ensure marketing claims around product are supportable
- Drive product design and process related cost reductions working closely with suppliers while insuring product performance is maintained
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering Discipline, preferably Mechanical or Chemical/Materials
- 5 years+ experience in product engineering required
- Strong Analytical skills and ability to use data to solve complex problems and drive improvement
- Cost management experience
- Product Quality Management Experience
- Experience in a fast paced start up environment, especially ecommerce preferred
