About the Role

iCapital is seeking a highly motivated Senior Product Manager for the Fund Finance team to lead various buildouts of a critical core area of product. You will be working in a team- and results-oriented environment with smart, hardworking individuals, and alongside the Executive Management team.

This is a management level role with room for growth, and involves managing individuals, teams, and projects. You will have the opportunity to solve fun and complex challenges focused on Fund administrations and operations of alternative investments for Private Equity and Hedge Funds. You will work directly with our operational desks to bring scale and efficiencies across a multitude of different operational procedures such as, NAV reconciliation, capital calls/distributions, investor statements, general ledger, reporting, and more.

This is an opportunity to utilize the latest technologies and innovative solutions. You will own, lead, and deliver various solutions with direct oversight of product building, largely defining and influencing others in your own space, from identifying unmet needs to defining requirements, writing user stories, developing project communication plans, and testing product features.  We live and breathe agile and deploy fast, to learn and iterate quickly. Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement with Hedge Fund and Private Equity operational teams to identify and deliver solutions to core functional operational areas.
  • Develop a strategic road map for direction of fund administration functions on the platform as a product, in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Communicate and work directly with executive management team members to provide status updates of critical strategic projects.
  • Resolve issues or concerns surrounding the allocation of resources and work with stakeholders to manage expectations and priority setting.
  • Work with the production support team and provide oversight to resolve existing gaps with new builds or proposals for new resources.
  • Propose and plan team structure/expansion where necessary with a well thought out plan on how to follow through.
  • Mentor the team by coaching and leading by example in all areas, whether building relationships or project execution.
  • Identify the highest leverage areas and mobilize key constituents to deliver great products and critical key features/functions quickly.
  • Work with Design, Technology, and other partners in scoping different solutions, writing user-stories, and preparing the organization for product launches.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business impacts and what is most critical. Manage the team and space for concurrent requests and requirements.
  • Test and review online product upgrades, oversee team execution, and ensure flawless implementation.
  • Monitor the performance of the product and continuously work to improve it.
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape from a business and legal/compliance perspective.
  • Step outside the product realm when appropriate to contribute to the team and overall company mission.

Qualifications

  • 10 -15+ years of experience in product management in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Expertise with QA testing, business analysis, and project management
  • Strong technical background and understanding; ability to construct wireframes and design user experiences while understanding basic API functionalities
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its impact on business processes
  • Comfortable leveraging SQL and able to generate conclusions based on data presented
  • Solid experience managing technical teams and projects
  • Ability to influence in partnerships with colleagues, teams, and clients
  • Proven experience managing space for organizing requests and priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging executive management for ideas and resolutions, and able to build solid relationships to gain buy in and achieve results
  • Critical thinker and comfortable with the unknown
  • Fund administration and operations knowledge strongly preferred
  • Financial technology background strongly preferred
  • Willing to dig deep, analyze, and understand the ins and outs of how things work
  • History of customer-centric focus with a knack for quick and thoughtful problem-solving
