JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox News Media is seeking a dynamic and hardworking Production Assistant to join the Fox Nation live team! This group is responsible for the growing demand for executing live streaming of breaking news and events on our platform. We're looking for someone who loves current events, politics, and breaking news and knows the Fox News brand. 

You are highly organized and have great time management skills. You are a self-starter with a ''can-do'' attitude and enjoy working and collaborating with a team.  The Production Assistant will also assist with other productions such as town hall and live event programming and specials. The candidate should be able to determine, plan, and manage their day-to-day activities as well as long-term priorities regarding all aspects of the production. 

NOTE: Schedule will be Mon-Fri to start but will shift to Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat after training complete

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Direct and operate live streams and shows in an automated control room

  • Write creative and editorially interesting descriptions and work with graphics to create toolkits for the app

  • Coordinate with other departments throughout Fox such as legal, finance, graphics, marketing, field production, and media relations 

  • ​Potential for long hours, including evenings and weekends

WHAT YOU WILL NEED  

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience  

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced creative environment under tight deadlines

  • Ability to work under tight deadline pressures

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Strong knowledge of current events 

  • Experience with live streaming/TV programming is a plus!

  • Positive attitude and team player spirit

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-27.65 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
