Broadridge is growing! We are seeking a Supervisor of Production Equipment Support to join our dynamic team in our Edgewood, NY location.  In this role, you will provide direction and mechanical support to all production mechanics as the need arises. You will monitor all work in progress ensuring that a constant production workflow is maintained, and equipment repairs are completed in a timely fashion.

The work hours are night shift (5 pm – 1:30am).  During high production volume, the work hours are 5 pm – 5am including weekends and holidays as needed. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains our parts inventory for all equipment by providing a complete list of parts to be ordered, including the vendor to be used and the associated cost for each part
  • Monitor records of preventive maintenance performed on equipment and ensures that the maintenance occurs according to scheduled deadlines
  • Keeps informed of all new technology and equipment used by the technical support and production operations departments.
  • Fills in and assumes all Management responsibilities in the Department Manager’s absence
  • Accountable to meet or exceed Cost Per Unit targets on his/her shift (i.e. labor costs, overtime, inventory control etc.) · Monitors and improves machine efficiency. · Coaches, counsels, motivates, develops, supports, encourages and instructs all Technicians under direct report
  • Verifies all administrative work is filled out accurately, monitoring and following departmental procedures
  • Maintains all records pertaining to department personnel under individuals report
  • Span of control: approximately 15-20 direct reports, and all production equipment used by technical support and production operations
  • Position requires daily communication/ updates with senior management on strategic work scheduling issues
  • Monitors daily reports on thruput and equipment downtime giving feedback to department personnel
     

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or Technical/Trade School
  • 5+ years’ experience and a proven proficiency in the operation and repair of production equipment
  • 3 years’ minimum supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment, including: conducting performance reviews, leading by example, encouraging teamwork
  • Proven proficiency in the operation and repair of insertion and bindery equipment, electronic and electric circuit experience is required
  • Electrical and electronics repair is a plus
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of reporting tools Jet/IQ
  • Experience in Microsoft Office

The salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $80,000 annual. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
