JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media is seeking an experienced and strategic Production Manager to lead the planning, logistics, and execution of live broadcasts, breaking news coverage, special events, and large-scale productions across multiple FOX News Media brands, including FOX News, FOX Business, FOX Nation and others.

This role serves as the operational lead throughout the entire production lifecycle, overseeing planning, budgeting, staffing, technical operations, vendor management, and on-site execution while ensuring productions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest editorial and production standards. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at solving complex logistical challenges, and confidently manages multiple high-profile projects simultaneously.

A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead end-to-end production planning and execution for live broadcasts, breaking news coverage, political events, and special productions

  • Partner with senior leadership, editorial teams, technical teams, creative, and external stakeholders to successfully execute complex productions and events

  • Manage domestic and international remote productions, providing on-site leadership and operational oversight before, during, and after live broadcasts and events

  • Develop and manage comprehensive production plans, detailed production schedules, run-of-show documents, staffing plans, and end-to-end logistical workflows while ensuring seamless execution and alignment across production, engineering, operations, editorial, and cross-functional teams

  • Conduct site surveys, venue walkthroughs, technical assessments, and pre-production meetings to evaluate operational and production requirements

  • Coordinate all aspects of production logistics, including but not limited to staffing, catering, hotel accommodations, credentialing and all onsite event logistics

  • Oversee production budgets, vendor negotiations, contracts, purchase orders, expense tracking, and financial reconciliation while maintaining cost efficiency

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, venues, production partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution

  • Develop contingency plans and proactively resolve operational challenges in rapidly changing, high-pressure environments

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Demonstrated success managing complex live broadcasts, remote productions, and large-scale productions from planning through execution

  • Extensive knowledge of live television production, field operations, and remote broadcast logistics

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to independently lead multiple high-profile productions while balancing competing priorities and deadlines

  • Proven experience managing production budgets, vendor negotiations, contracts, and financial oversight

  • Proven ability to confidently lead virtual production meetings and Zoom briefings, effectively communicating production plans, timelines, and operational updates to cross-functional teams

  • Strong leadership skills with experience directing cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and remain composed while managing rapidly evolving situations

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive domestic and international travel as business needs require

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Valid driver's license with the ability to rent and safely operate a vehicle in unfamiliar locations 

  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and stand or walk for extended periods during live productions and events

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-105,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
