Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level or Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 3 or Level 4) to join the Executive Fleet Team in San Antonio, TX!
BDS is a global leader in the development, production, maintenance and enhancement of fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft, commercial and government satellites, human spaceflight programs and weapons. Key markets include aeronautics, space and weapons. Core capabilities are in development, production and mission enabling upgrades of integrated solutions. BDS delivers the most digitally advanced, simply and efficiently produced and intelligently supported solutions to its customers.
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
  • Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).
  • Oversight, and management responsibility (including performance management & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational the goals and objectives.
  • Identifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements.
  • Ensures the assigned team is executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.
  • Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
  • Manages Risk, Issues and Opportunities for the assigned projects.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Experience in a role that required teaming and collaboration skills, and ability to work well with a geographically dispersed cross-functional and matrix team
  • 1+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • 3+ years of experience with RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) process and tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience in developing and managing metrics RCCA and Lean
  • Experience with subcontract program management or subcontract management
  • Experience with financial reporting
  • Active Top Secret clearance is preferred
  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel: Position may require travel up to 20% of the time.
Shift: This position is for 1st shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Level 3: $94,350-$127,650
Level 4: $118,150-$159,850
