About the Role
We are a large, industry-leading telecommunications company seeking a highly energized and proven R&D Program Manager to ensure the successful end-to-end delivery of our project lifecycles. In this role, you will oversee multiple streams of work, utilizing your extensive project management skills to ensure program goals and objectives are delivered on time, on budget, and according to business requirements. You will serve as the core link between internal cross-functional groups and external global teams to achieve our shared milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Act as the project lead and primary stakeholder focal point, working closely with the business team to understand the overall scope. You will be responsible for direct communication with senior stakeholders, providing regular program health status updates and presentations.
Program Governance & Execution: Govern program scope, manage change requests, and handle comprehensive schedule planning and tracking. You will ensure all projects meet their quality goals and comply strictly with development processes.
Resource & Budget Management: Manage program resources and spending to ensure strict adherence to the budget.
Risk & Crisis Management: Drive proactive risk management through prediction, mitigation, and lessons learned. You will also resolve issues, unblock challenges, and confidently lead program recovery efforts if a project enters crisis mode.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manage complex interdependencies between various functional teams and proactively resolve any conflicts.
Vendor Management: For outsourced programs, you will lead Statement of Work (SOW) sign-offs and closely monitor supplier execution to guarantee all contractual obligations are met.
Basic Requirements
Education: An Engineering, Software, MBA, or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in program management.
Methodology: Strong experience in Agile Project Management, including the use of Jira and Scrum to manage deliverables.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of product development processes and familiarity with regulatory and reliability requirements.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and influencing skills to seamlessly unite cross-functional teams. You must be highly energized, deeply passionate about program management, and capable of performing under pressure in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Bonus/Preferred Qualifications
A certified PMP is highly advantageous.
Experience dealing with ODM/JDM partners.
Experience utilizing AI tools to improve project management efficiency
