Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven and motivated Project Manager- Rail Systems to be based in New York, New York area working in the NY Metro Transit Rail Project and Design Management group. 

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Perform project management responsibilities on design of transit rail projects in the NY Metro area
  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies
  • Responsible for administering the design phase of the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement
  • Manage a multi-discipline design team to produce high quality design deliverables, meet schedules and stay within project budgets
  • Coordinate construction phase services for both design-build and design-bid-build projects
  • Ability to coordinate closely with clients, contractors and project partners
  • Project types includes Design-Build, Development of Bridging Documents and Design-Bid-Build

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • BA/BS + 6 years or more of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements : 

  • 10 Years of Experience with NY metro rail agencies including MTA, PANYNJ and NJ Transit
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills 
  • 5 Years of Experience in Design Project Management Role
  • Experience with coordinating systems design
