About the role:

You’ll be joining the strategic New Initiatives team at Transfix that works on developing new commercial and technology solutions that drive value for our shipping and carrier partners. You will help lead the charge on an exciting new project that leverages technology and data science along with commercial growth and operational execution. You’ll play a key role in helping Transfix achieve its ambitious growth goals for the new program as well as help launch additional initiatives.

What you'll do:

Strategic Program Growth

• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across our strategic shipping partners and carriers
• Scale the program -- working closely with sales and account managers -- to identify and open up new program opportunities with shippers and fleets
• Work closely with sales and pricing teams to leverage this innovative capability to bid on new customer RFPs and win more business
• Deeply understand Transfix’s current network to match available supply and demand

Program & Operations Management

• Direct internal coordination efforts between operations, data science, and product teams 
• Work with account managers to identify existing customers with freight compatible with program operational requirements
• For each market, maximize carrier utilization up to full capacity every day by finding matching freight and coordinating execution with operations teams
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align business requirements and maximize revenue and margin
• Collaborate with carrier managers to onboard strategic carriers and setup robust processes on each lane to capture all eligible freight
• Proactively communicate with internal leadership and other key stakeholders providing progress updates and highlighting new opportunities

Analytics & Innovation

• Partner with data science team to analyze new program opportunities and develop analytics / tools to drive growth
• Identify product enhancement opportunities and work closely with product / engineering teams to scope and develop technology solutions
• Participate in development and evaluation of other new innovative commercial and technology initiatives for Transfix

About you:

• You have 5+ years experience in program management, operations management, account management, or as a business analyst
• You are strategic and possess the ability to identify new opportunities for growth 
• You are flexible - we are disrupting an industry so changes to traditional processes should be expected
• You love solving complex problems in a fast paced environment
• You are a critical thinker and data-oriented with strong analytical skills; you’re an expert at Excel and reporting tools
• You demonstrate strong internal and external communication skills including verbal, written, presentation, and active listening
• You have managed complex projects and launched new initiatives
• You have a strong ability to multitask methodically and rapidly switch between different contexts
• You are organized, and manage your time efficiently
• Previous experience with B2B enterprise accounts, tech companies, and/or a hyper-growth B2B startup preferred
• Must be able to interact and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization
• A burning desire to win and reach overall company goals
• You possess excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills that you use to collaborate across a wide variety of partners & stakeholders
• You have a Bachelor’s degree (engineering, operations management, economics, or business preferred)
