Your team:

Ribbon is dedicated to building the gold standard for what it means to center diversity, equity, and inclusion at work. We’re also growing incredibly quickly (3x growth in 2021!). As our in-house expert, you’ll consult with leadership and individual teams and help ensure that our internal practices are meeting the highest bar for DEI. You’ll also build strategy and execute on initiatives to ensure that team-members with all lived experiences know that they belong at Ribbon. 

 How you'll help make homeownership achievable:

  • You’ll create a company-wide internal DEI strategy, including goal setting (on both company and team levels)
  • Support Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), investing in ERG leadership
  • You’ll chair our passionate DEI committee
  • Building external partnerships with DEI practitioners and historically excluded organizations 
  • Partnering with Talent Acquisition on recruiting and assessment strategy
  • Training our team on DEI-related competencies (DEI values, calling-in vs. calling-out, etc.)
  • Running company demographic and inclusion surveys
  • Improving and creating transparency around DEI initiatives at Ribbon Advising on various initiatives to ensure a gold standard for DEI (total rewards/compensation, employee relations, company communications, etc.)

 What we're looking for:

  • Expertise and experience leading and executing on DEI initiatives, ideally in a high growth organization  
  • Strong familiarity with the roots of structural inequalities, which informs a perspective on equitable programs 
  • Proven success partnering with cross-functional leaders and individual contributors 
  • Growth mindset coupled with high integrity and creativity
  • Empathy and cultural competency—you know how to center others’ experiences 
  • Strong communication: you can explain challenging concepts clearly, are skilled at calling in (vs calling out), and build alignment across different perspectives 
  • Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition/People teams on recruiting and retention strategies
  • Data-driven decision making
