OVERVIEW:

The VICE Philanthropy group is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who can lead the charge on developing VICE’s philanthropy goals and outreach. This person will help focus internal communications around VICE Philanthropy initiatives, as well as build and maintain relationships with organizations we hope to partner with.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate and develop relationships with third party organizations to explore potential VICE partnerships
  • Create and organize presentations, meetings and town hall events
  • Take a lead role in planning and managing a VICE company wide volunteer day both with internal teams and external partners
  • Sit as an active member of the Philanthropy Community Board, and promote it’s goals
  • Track projects and deadlines for the Philanthropy group, communicate updates effectively as needed
  • Once established, help with the day to day management of VICE donations policy
  • Explore further opportunities and organizations for VICE employees to give back

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant work experience and/or coursework is preferred
  • Interest in philanthropy and community service
  • Someone with a positive and proactive attitude, excited to shape the future of VICE’s corporate philanthropy strategy
  • Efficient time management, able to adhere to deadlines, experience with heavy scheduling
  • And outgoing person who is excited about engaging the VICE community in this endeavor
  • Proficient in building, shaping and editing presentations; video editing skills a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
