About the company

We believe in a world without misdiagnoses, where every patient receives the best opportunity to recover and lead a healthy life. And we’re the team solving this problem every single day for millions of patients across the country.

Founded by CEO Ron Vianu, Covera Health is transforming how quality health care is measured and delivered. We’re starting in radiology where the wrong diagnosis can lead to a cascade effect of misguided care, enormous patient harm and, for some, a missed opportunity for recovery. An early and accurate diagnosis is the patient’s best chance to get better.

Our first product uses a proprietary framework that leverages advanced data science and artificial intelligence to help patients receive an accurate diagnosis.

Today, we are already working with some of the largest healthcare payers in the country to impact millions of patient lives. With a pipeline representing 25% of the insured lives in the US, the opportunity to transform radiology and, in turn, improve patient care for all patients across the globe is in front of us.

Headquartered in New York City, Covera Health recently closed its $23.5M Series B financing round with Insight Partners, a leading global venture capital and private equity firm investing in high-growth companies that are driving transformative change in their industries.

About the role

Our Operations team is the heartbeat of the company. It’s where all data comes together and is processed, stored, and distributed. Essentially, we’re running a data factory. As in any production environment, we aim to run high-quality, timely processes to best serve our mission.

As we rapidly scale our offerings, we’re aiming to scale our operations infrastructure and, connectedly, our team. We are looking for a Senior Manager of Process Improvement to lead our process improvement initiatives and to build out our operational infrastructure. Your responsibilities will fall into 3 categories: a) Planning & leading strategic improvements to our operations infrastructure, b) Monitoring the daily delivery and resolving ad-hoc operations production issues, and c) Building lean six-sigma capabilities across the company. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Operations team and a broad range of teams across the company (Data Science, AI, Tech / Engineering, Network, Program Delivery).

You will be expected to:

  • Partner with Operations team, internal/external stakeholders, and leadership team to identify and prioritize issues and process improvement opportunities
  • Develop and execute on solutions, in strong collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Analytics & Data Integrity teams
  • Evaluate and monitor ongoing operational processes to ensure reliability and accuracy - investigating and escalating issues as needed
  • Develop a detailed understanding of operational processes and supporting systems
  • Educate the organization on the use of lean six-sigma tools
  • Establish and further a ‘zero defect’ mindset
  • Build and maintain comprehensive process documentation and trainings for end users
  • Build and lead a team that can execute against these objectives
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in process improvement and operations, with exposure to healthcare and/or radiology a plus
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to think strategically while also maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication, with excellent ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to engage a broad set of internal and external stakeholders and ensure their buy-in
  • Strong ability to drive and organize many initiatives concurrently and prioritize accordingly
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate strong teams
  • Experience working in a start-up environment a plus
  • Formal lean six-sigma training and / or deep practice experience a plus

Benefits

You will be a full-time employee with competitive salary, stock options, and great benefits. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, HRA, 401k, pre-tax commuter benefits, flexible paid time off, and--when we go back to the office--a comfortable office space filled with a variety of quality snacks and beverages. Most importantly, you’ll get to know each of us and we love to work together to find solutions. We are a talented, fun, focused, and unique team of people who are truly passionate about changing healthcare for the better! Even while remote, you'll experience the Covera culture as we offer a host of virtual experiences including a book club, fitness club, guest speakers, dynamic Slack channels, and more!
