About Us
Cedar was co-founded by Florian Otto and Arel Lidow in 2016 after a personal experience with our antiquated medical billing system inspired them to improve the healthcare financial experience. Tackling that problem quickly entrenched Cedar as one of today’s leading healthtech companies, leading to remarkable growth. Over the past several years, we raised more than $350 million in funding from investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and Tiger Global, bringing Cedar’s valuation to $3.2 billion.
Today, Cedar engages with around 12 million consumers annually—more than 300,000 patients each day—and partners with more than 50 leading healthcare providers, including Yale New Haven Health (YNHHS), Summit Health, Novant Health, Allina Health, Providence, ChristianaCare, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, CommonSpirit Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Cedar has offices in New York, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City. Cedar is committed to a flexible work environment, so this as well as many of our roles are remote-friendly.
