Technical Project Manager

What We Need
We’re looking for a strong Technical Project Manager to work with our growing engineering teams focused on backend ad serving and application development initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience with programming, at least 2 years in project management, and would be comfortable working with engineers and business stakeholders in a technical capacity.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily activities surrounding the SDLC in an agile environment
- Work with product owners, our head of product and stakeholders to determine scope, groom the ticket backlog and identify project dependencies and bottlenecks
- Maintain communication with stakeholders, tech ops and with other engineering teams, as well as internal team communication between developers and qa
- Use analytical skills to assess project feasibility and performance
- Gain and maintain a deep understanding of our products, their capabilities and limitations, as well as details relating to our numerous partner integrations
- Gain and maintain an understanding of the greater ad tech ecosystem and our place within it
Requirements
- At least 2 years in project management experience in a technical environment
- Excellent communication and problem solving abilities
- Understanding of and experience with agile software development principles
- Ability to gain and maintain deep understanding of highly complex systems with many edge cases
- Ability to employ knowledge to contribute to technical discussions and problem solving efforts
- Ability to work with both in-person and remote teams comprised of full time employees and consultants
Nice to Haves
- Ad tech experience
- Experience with ticket management systems such as Jira
- Proficiency with SQL
- Prior first-hand experience as a software developer
- Exposure to large scale distributed systems
