About the Job:

Execute RTR’s national transportation strategy:

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of outbound, inbound and internal shipping strategies and key performance indicators.
• Build working relationships with operational counterparts at each carrier, acting as the first point of contact with the goal of driving continuous improvement across shared processes.
• Track performance metrics, including on-time delivery, exceptions and timeliness of arrival and dispatch, providing well-organized summaries to team leadership.
• Work closely with the RTR operations team to design and monitor internal performance metrics
• Support the onboarding and offboard of carriers from the RTR network as applicable, including coaching on compliance with performance standards, reporting and other obligations.
• Participate in emergency recovery as necessary in response to natural disasters, warehouse outages or other disruptions.
• Act as first point of contact for retail and CX teams to ensure that the transportation strategy is performing to standard and they are complying with all policies.

Manage transportation support for RTR’s pickup, drop-off and courier networks:

• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations for each location and delivery service provider in the drop box and courier networks; travel as required in connection with the launch of new markets and / or addressing issues in existing markets.
• Offer timely support to CX and account management on transportation-related escalations.

Bring a leadership mindset to a high-growth environment:

• Maintain strong working knowledge of all processes and policies.
• Be patient, have strong communication skills and the capability of giving and receiving effective feedback including training and development of hourly associates.
• Enforce safety guidelines, cleanliness and security standards.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of professional experience or relevant internships in supply chain and, online retail or related field
• BA/BS degree in supply chain, business administration or other applicable field preferred
• Capable of making decisions independently 
• Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
• Have a positive, “can-do” attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
• Forward-thinkers with the ability to articulate point of view and improve processes 
• Ability to quickly recognize, diagnose and solve for challenges 
• Must operate with a sense of urgency and have attention to detail
