Avenue Z, a leading media and tech company, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Associate to join our growing Public Relations team. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to work with experienced professionals on innovative campaigns for a diverse range of clients. As a Junior Associate, you'll gain hands-on experience in communications strategy and execution, learning the foundations of public relations while contributing to meaningful client work.


Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement Support:
    • Assist in the development and execution of communication strategies for clients across media, technology, and other industries.
    • Support account teams in managing client relationships, including preparing meeting notes and follow-ups.
  • Content Creation and Media Support:
    • Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, and other written materials.
    • Assist in the development of compelling story angles and client narratives.
    • Conduct research to support client campaigns, including audience insights and competitor analyses.
  • Media Relations and Monitoring:
    • Build foundational skills in media relations, including compiling media lists and identifying press opportunities.
    • Monitor media coverage and industry trends, preparing summary reports for internal teams and clients.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Support day-to-day coordination of PR campaigns, ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
    • Collaborate with team members to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and address project needs.
  • Team Collaboration and Learning:
    • Work closely with senior team members to gain exposure to various aspects of PR and strategic communications.
    • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, internal trainings, and team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience, with a preference for internship or agency experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in media and technology industries is a plus.
