About the Job

As a Senior Software SDET Engineer within Keeper’s Quality Engineering organization, you will design, implement, and execute performance test frameworks and scenarios that ensure the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of Keeper’s applications and infrastructure. You will ensure quality is engineered into the product lifecycle by designing scalable automation systems, validating complex access-control workflows, and integrating automated testing across CI/CD pipelines.

This role requires a strong engineering mindset, deep automation expertise, and the ability to influence quality strategy across teams. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, security engineers, SRE, and product teams to deliver high-quality, resilient features for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and maintain advanced automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript), Pytest (Python), and additional languages (Java, C#, Go)
  • Plan and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing to validate system performance under varying conditions
  • Design and execute performance/load testing using k6, JMeter, or equivalent frameworks
  • Build performance test frameworks and pipelines integrated with CI/CD environments
  • Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and work with development teams to optimize system performance
  • Develop and maintain test data, scenarios, and reporting dashboards for continuous visibility into performance metrics
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to establish performance benchmarks and SLAs
  • Use monitoring tools and profiling techniques to identify system-level performance issues (CPU, memory, I/O, latency)
  • Provide recommendations and documentation on performance improvements and testing strategies
  • Collaborate closely with product development to embed testability into architecture from the ground up
  • Mentor and guide other QA engineers, raising the technical bar for automation practices across the team

Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of experience in QA automation with a strong focus on performance and load testing
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, Locust, or LoadRunner
  • Expertise in API testing (preferably with encryption)
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java for developing automation scripts and frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and distributed systems
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, etc.)
  • Familiarity with containerized and microservices architectures (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Experience with security performance testing or testing of highly available SaaS systems
  • Due to this role’s involvement working on FedRAMP compliance requirements, qualified candidates must be a “U.S. Person”

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or custom frameworks
  • Experience contributing to automation metrics, dashboards, or observability systems
  • Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, encryption fundamentals, and secure testing practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience

Benefits
  • Medical, Dental & Vision (inclusive of domestic partnerships)
  • Employer Paid Life Insurance & Employee/Spouse/Child Supplemental life
  • Voluntary Short/Long Term Disability Insurance
  • 401K (Roth/Traditional)
  • A generous PTO plan that celebrates your commitment and seniority (including paid Bereavement/Jury Duty, etc)
