Lead QA for the GBX front‑office trading platform: oversee QA releases, develop and execute manual and automated test plans, mentor QA staff, track defects with JIRA, and improve QA processes and performance testing practices.
We are looking for a talented and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Cantor Fitzgerald Technology Markets LLC. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our firm's flagship front-office platform, GBX, which is used for trading Fixed Income, Interest Rate, and Credit derivatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our financial systems and contributing to our success in the global financial market.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Quality Assurance function for GBX, overseeing all QA aspects and establishing metrics to ensure quality goals are met.
- Act as the key point of contact for QA releases, providing services and coordinating resources.
- Work closely with Development and Product teams to deliver high-quality features, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Lead and mentor QA team members, fostering a collaborative and skilled workforce.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures, both manual and automated.
- Apply best practices and develop new tools and processes to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness.
- Utilize defect reporting and tracking tools like JIRA to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on QA progress and findings.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies, particularly in front-office trading techniques and performance testing.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve our software development lifecycle and QA processes.
- Minimum of 7 years of QA/Testing experience, preferably within a global financial firm, demonstrating a strong track record of success.
- At least 5 years of active work on financial systems, with a deep understanding of trading platforms and trade processing.
- Excellent test planning skills, including requirements mapping, test design, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in defect reporting and tracking tools such as JIRA, ensuring efficient issue management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and documentation.
- A solid understanding of the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, driving QA initiatives forward.
- Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write and execute complex queries.
- Preferred: Knowledge of front-office trading techniques, UNIX/Linux platforms, and performance testing techniques.
- Experience in automating Java applications and working with FIX protocol and Web services is an advantage.
Compensation Expectations: $140,000-$165,000
