The Board of Pharmacy regulates the Practice of Pharmacy and enforces laws regarding pharmacy staff, drug outlets and the sale of drugs in Oregon. The Board was created in 1891. By licensing pharmacists, pharmacy interns and pharmacy technicians, the Board of Pharmacy ensures that only qualified people practice pharmacy in Oregon. The Board registers and inspects retail and hospital pharmacies and stores that sell over-the-counter drugs. It also registers and inspects drug wholesalers and manufacturers and regulates the quality and distribution of all drugs in Oregon.
What You’ll Do
As the Receptionist for the Board of Pharmacy you will provide specialized clerical, and technical support for the day-to-day operations of the licensing and registration program of the Board for individuals and facilities.
This opportunity is Temporary and is expected to last approximately six months. The duties are performed in the Portland office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm to meet agency and department missions.

This Is What You Need to Qualify
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
The ideal candidate will possess the following desired skills and attributes:
Excellent customer service skills.
Change agile, self-starter, quick learner.
Experience using a multi-line telephone answering a high volume of calls.
Experience using Microsoft Office365 suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
Payment processing & reconciliation experience.
Demonstrated experience entering data into a database or customer record management system.

Additional Details
This announcement is for one, full-time, Temporary, SEIU-Represented, Receptionist (Office Specialist 2) position and may be used to fill future vacancies. This opportunity is Temporary and is expected to last approximately six months, but may be extended or made permanent based on funding and agency need.
This opportunity may be filled as a job rotation with approval by the sending agency.
The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%.Review the Classification and Compensation page for more details on the classification, or you may visit our website for information on the job offer process following pay equity.

This position requires you to obtain and maintain CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) clearance.
Employee is required to obtain and maintain Oregon LEDS certification.
