About the Role

We are seeking a Recruitment & Business Operations Coordinator to support and coordinate recruitment activities globally for Alpha’s Strategy & Deals (S&D) business. This role is heavily recruitment-focused, with complementary business and operational support responsibilities that create a varied, high-impact role.

The primary recruitment markets are North America and the UK, and you will work closely with Alpha’s global recruitment team while receiving direct mentoring and oversight from a North America–based recruiter. This is a 6‑month contract role with potential to extend.

The S&D team delivers high‑impact advisory services to financial services organizations, combining deep industry expertise with rigorous analytical capabilities to help clients shape corporate strategy, evaluate growth opportunities, and execute mergers and acquisitions.

This role is ideal for someone early in their recruiting career who is excited by ownership, coordination, and exposure to both recruitment and broader business operations. Candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds, including (but not limited to) agency recruitment, recruiting operations, or recruiting coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Implement and continuously improve best practices for Strategy & Deals candidate recruitment
  • Source candidates directly through LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms, building proactive talent pipelines
  • Establish, manage, and optimize relationships with external recruitment agencies, including exploring new agency partnerships in the U.S. and UK
  • Act as a key point of contact for candidates, delivering a high‑quality and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and communications with interviewers, hiring managers, and senior management
  • Support recruitment events and onboarding activities to ensure a seamless candidate and new‑hire experience
  • Partner closely with external agencies to align on hiring needs, timelines, fees, and candidate quality
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date candidate records in Greenhouse, ensuring data integrity across all recruiting stages
  • Support recruiting team initiatives focused on candidate experience, interviewer readiness, and process effectiveness

Business & Team Support

In addition to recruitment, this role will provide business and operational support to the S&D senior management team. Responsibilities will be prioritized based on capacity and business need and may include:

  • Contractor management, including onboarding coordination and ongoing administration
  • Supporting employee experience initiatives, particularly onboarding and early‑days frameworks
  • Assisting with project resourcing/staffing coordination across the Strategy & Deals team
  • Managing and coordinating expert network relationships
  • Supporting marketing and business development efforts, including thought leadership coordination, client outreach support, website updates, and client meeting logistics
  • Preparing materials for monthly leadership meetings and supporting internal team communications
  • Contributing to ad hoc projects that support the effectiveness and growth of the Strategy & Deals business

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in recruitment, talent coordination, recruiting operations, or an operations-based role
  • Agency recruitment experience preferred but not required
  • Experience coordinating interviews, managing candidate pipelines, and working within an applicant tracking system (Greenhouse preferred)
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Confident communicator who can engage professionally with candidates, agencies, hiring managers, and senior leaders
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in gaining exposure to both recruitment and broader business operations

Contract & Compensation

  • 6-month contract role, with potential to extend
  • Compensation: $70,000+ annualized (contract equivalent)
  • Opportunity to gain meaningful exposure to global recruitment and Strategy & Deals business operations within a growing consulting firm

Why This Role?

This role offers hands-on recruitment responsibility, meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to build foundational recruiting and business operations experience within a high-performing Strategy & Deals team. It is well suited for someone who enjoys coordination, problem-solving, and acting as a trusted partner across recruiting and business functions.

Additional highlights of the role include:

  • Global exposure across both U.S. and UK recruitment markets, offering valuable insight into international hiring practices
  • A small, collaborative team environment with direct access to senior leaders, supporting the development of executive presence early in your career
  • Hands-on experience across recruiting, sourcing, and business operations, with the opportunity to shape the role based on interests and strengths
  • A high degree of autonomy and ownership, supported by mentorship and partnership from the global recruitment team
  • Hybrid role, ideally based in the New York or New York metro area, with the ability to work from Alpha’s office
