Job Scope:
The role of the Regional BD Head of East Coast is to drive and support sales efforts in a given territory by implementing the sales/marketing strategies for ProBio’s world class discovery services that are both extensive in breath of offerings, and state-of-the-art in their latest technologies. The Regional BD Head will use their knowledge of science and the business including corporate contacts to develop and deliver profitable initiatives and build sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Team for Success: recruit, train, mentor and lead impactful team of BDs by cultivating a collaborative and motivated environment. Remove barriers, provide
- Drive Strategy to Action: develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to apply to our Key Accounts within CDMO space including developing the right value proposition and a methodology to consistently translate that value proposition into action in a differentiated way for each Key Account.
- Build Strong Cross-Divisional Relationships: build and maintain strong relationships both within Clients and Cross function team
- Establish Strong Client Rapport: build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, including developing relationships with key leaders at senior levels across various disciplines including Procurement, R&D and Clinical Development. Support team in advancing to higher levels within each key account.
- Deliver BD Results for client’s segment: define and drive revenue generation opportunities to increase market penetration with Key Accounts.
- Create and execute programs for new prospective clients to increase awareness of Probio’s service offerings and provide key differentiators from our competition
- Provide insights to the scientific requirements for the transaction process and work in close collaboration with internal GenScript stakeholders to help prepare project designs and proposals
- Remain current on customers’ news, pipeline development, and funding status, as well as industry news, trends, regulatory guidelines, and key technology to be able to serve as consultants to customers.
- Build and expand a business reference network to help grow and develop new business opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in scientific disciplines preferably in life sciences;
- Relevant sales experience required (10+ years) and a high level of technical and professional expertise
- Good knowledge of biopharmaceutical discovery and CDMO market as well as biotech industry
- Ability to work in international and multicultural environments
- Ability of work in a fast paced and challenging environment with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Proven track records to meet and surpass goals
- Ability to accurately forecast sales within territory on a weekly basis
- Team player
- Strong analytical and time management skills
