About the Role

As a Regional Talent Acquisition Partner, you will play an integral role in driving talent acquisition efforts across our Northeast Corridor academy locations. This role combines strategic recruiting with hands-on execution, requiring someone who thrives in a dynamic, multi-site environment and understands the unique staffing needs of our after-school, weekend, and summer camp education programs.

You'll travel regularly to our Northeast Corridor campus locations to build relationships, host hiring events, and develop deep expertise in each academy's talent needs. You'll also travel to local colleges and universities to build recruiting pipelines through career fairs, info sessions, and campus events. Some weekend and evening availability is needed to host or attend hiring events and interviews.

Our Northeast Corridor region currently includes seven campuses between Boston and D.C. and will continue to grow. This role is critical to improving and scaling our recruiting operations across the region. As we grow, you'll help build the systems, relationships, and talent pipelines that enable us to staff multiple locations effectively and efficiently.

The Regional Talent Acquisition Partner will:

Regional Recruiting & Travel

  • Travel regularly between the seven Northeast Corridor academy locations (and future sites as we expand) to conduct on-site recruiting activities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute hiring events at academy sites, including open houses, interview days, and meet-and-greets.
  • Host information sessions for potential instructors, teaching assistants, and support staff at various academy sites.

Community Partnerships & Talent Pipeline Development

  • Build relationships with local universities, colleges, parent-teacher associations, and education programs to source qualified candidates.
  • Develop partnerships with teacher preparation programs and alternative certification organizations.
  • Serve as the expert on the Northeast Corridor education talent market, including compensation trends, competitor analysis, and talent availability.
  • Understand local commute patterns, neighborhood characteristics, and factors affecting candidate interest by location.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Hiring Execution

  • Work closely with academy managers across all locations to understand what makes successful instructors and support staff at each site.
  • Conduct on-site interviews and assessments in collaboration with academy managers.
  • Create and maintain candidate pools for different roles, including instructors, teaching assistants, and administrative support.
  • Provide strategic guidance to hiring managers on market conditions and hiring best practices.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report on recruiting metrics by location and role type.
  • Provide insights on academy-specific challenges and opportunities for talent acquisition.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness as we scale recruiting across multiple sites using data and analytics.

Travel & Schedule Expectations

  • Existing Northeast academies: At least one visit per quarter (minimum two-day stay).
  • New academies: At least one visit every other month (minimum two-day stay).
  • Primarily work Monday–Friday during normal business hours, with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends to align with academy operations and community events.
  • Travel to AoPS’ San Diego headquarters for roughly one week per quarter to attend team & company events.
The ideal candidate has:
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience with demonstrated success in high-volume hiring.
  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruiting from sourcing through offer.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and comfort working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the Northeast Corridor and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple sites or in a regional capacity.
  • Background in education, EdTech, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Experience with campus recruiting or building partnerships with educational institutions.
  • Knowledge of the Northeast Corridor education landscape and talent market.
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools.
