JOB SCOPE
The Regional Vice President of Field Operation is the senior executive in charge of one of Charter's nine operating regions responsible for expanding, upgrading, maintaining and connecting customers to our state-of-the-art network. The RVP oversees geographic regions comprised of multiple markets, known as Management Areas, and ensures network reliability and timely installation and repair service for our residential and business customers. The RVP is also responsible for expansion of Charter's footprint within the region. With a senior team of direct reports, the RVP is responsible for field service, maintenance, and construction as well as the financial and operational planning, human resources, training and safety functions for the region.

$251,300.00 and $506,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. JOB SCOPE

With a senior team of direct reports, the RVP is responsible for field service, maintenance, and construction as well as the financial and operational planning, human resources, training and safety functions for the region.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consult and coordinate with corporate Field Operations to ensure consistent high standards are met in all aspects of the business.
- Consult and coordinate with Sales and Marketing team to ensure timely network construction and installation for residential and business customers.
- Consult and coordinate with inside plant team to ensure network reliability and seamless construction and upgrade of network plant.
- Consult and coordinate with Government Affairs, Legal and Communications teams to address issues impacted by statutory, regulatory or public relations considerations.
- Ensure employee morale and motivation is strong and that issues and concerns are addressed in a timely manner to ensure they don't interfere with operations and our customer driven focus.
- Focus on metrics to ensure daily operating excellence, and to come up with plans as needed, to improve and strengthen performance.
- Communication of important operational issues that are impacting customer service/experience to Corporate functional leadership for matters that are outside the control of the Region, so they can be addressed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for developing budgets and forecasts for the Region, including operating and capital plans, with the direction that is provided by Corporate leadership. Ensures the successful execution of these plans through operation reviews and consistent monitoring of activity to ensure we successfully deliver on our plans and/or adjust plans as necessary.
- Analyze historical operating data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities to execute on the overall business plan.
- Partner with Government Affairs as needed to promote favorable relationships with community and public officials.
- Support and participates in strategic planning in order to meet the organizations strategic goals and long term growth.
- Participate in the talent and succession planning for the region to ensure we are developing our future leaders.
- Able to solve complex business issues either at the Region and/or within the Management Areas.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Experience:
- 15 Years Cable industry experience
- 12 Years Senior level Management experience in multiple locations, preferably in a cable MSO
- 10 Years Management of Annual Budget Preparation and Implementation
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or related field experience equivalent; Field Operations experience including field service, construction, and plant maintenance
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Exceptional technical knowledge of all functions within Field Operations
- Exceptional ability to plan and execute on core operational goals as well as critical initiatives
- Thorough understanding of financial impact of operational decisions
- Exceptional leadership skills to maintain morale and focus in order to meet operational goals.
- Exceptional Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
- Ability to think beyond own function; considers strategic issues that support overall business
- Demonstrates broad, long-term perspective
- Ability to work with customers, public officials and agencies
