About the Role

The Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with InvestCloud's clients, understanding their business needs, and ensuring the successful delivery of products and services. This position requires exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and a customer-centric approach to drive client satisfaction and retention. This client-facing role builds and maintains relationships at the senior management level both externally and internally.

What You'll Do

The Relationship Manager serves as a trusted advisor responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with our products and services. You will be accountable for expanding relationships with existing clients via product portfolio growth, managing an assigned portfolio of clients through engagement processes, solution delivery, onboarding, and implementation. You will develop successful client partnerships that result in high client satisfaction, retention, and growth, and make significant contributions to client success and solution delivery best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management Establish, build, and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key clients by taking a consultative, business-oriented approach to understanding their business objectives, challenges, and opportunities.

Retain and Grow Revenue Work with clients as a valued and integral partner to achieve their goals, resulting in revenue growth. Maintain direct accountability for account revenue goals (renewals), planning, and forecasts. Work closely with Customer Success, delivery, and product teams to achieve project objectives.

Strategic Account Planning Develop and implement strategic account plans to align with clients' goals and drive mutual success.

Needs Assessment Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' requirements and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services.

Client Education Educate clients on best practices and industry trends to maximize their value from our offerings.

Performance Monitoring Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to track client satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization.

Contract Renewal and Negotiation Partner with internal colleagues to lead contract renewal discussions, negotiate contract terms, legal inquiries, and pricing, and proactively address any potential renewal risks.

Revenue Growth Drive revenue growth by proactively creating or identifying opportunities to expand business with existing clients by leveraging C-level relationships and participating in new business development efforts.

Market Intelligence Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide insights and recommendations to clients. Continue to develop client relationships with internal partners at varying levels in the organization to achieve maximum results.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in account and sales management
  • 10+ years of financial services experience including RIAs, RIA Aggregators, Asset Managers, Wealth Managers, and Banks
  • Proven sales skills in complex deal development
  • Proven ability to interface at the C-suite level
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Exceptionally strong communicator and influencer/negotiator with interpersonal skills that adapt to the audience
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand clients' business challenges and develop tailored solutions
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving client satisfaction and revenue growth
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in client relationship management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites or industry events
  • Flexibility to accommodate client needs and time zone differences when required

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location. Salary range:  $175,000 - $185,000.
