About Monark
Monark is the B2B API infrastructure that brings access to pre-IPO company investment into the platforms where millions of investors already trade public stocks. Through a single integration, brokerages, RIAs, and wealth platforms can offer their users embedded access to late-stage private companies - alongside their stocks, in the same interface, with the same click-to-invest experience. No new accounts, no new platforms, no new logins. Access, embedded.
Backed by a recent $8.1M funding round led by F-Prime Capital, with participation from Commerce Ventures, The Treasury, and Grit Capital Partners, we're building the rails that make private markets efficient: programmatic, transparent, and scalable. Our Pre-IPO business syndicates SPVs across the most sought-after late-stage names, and our Relationship Managers are the success layer between Monark and our distribution clients.
About the Role
You'll be the trusted operator behind Monark's most important external relationships. As Relationship Manager, you'll own the success of our distribution clients end to end: making sure they have everything they need to launch, scale, and drive deal volume through Monark’s infrastructure rails.
This role lives at the intersection of partnerships, deal execution, and product. You'll be the day-to-day point of contact for our distribution clients, the connective tissue between their teams and ours, and the person ultimately accountable for converting those relationships into recurring deal flow. You'll work hand in hand with our supply brokers and deal execution team to match actionable supply with client demand, and you'll feed structured client feedback back into the product so we keep getting better at the things that matter.
What You'll Do
- Own the client relationship. Manage Monark's distribution clients as their primary point of contact. Build trusted, long-term relationships grounded in deep familiarity with each client's business, end-investor base, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive deal volume. Work directly with Monark's supply brokers to identify actionable pre-IPO supply in the market, package it for client consumption, and surface the right opportunities to the right clients at the right time. Your job is to keep deals moving through the pipes.
- Run a tight client cadence. Hold weekly calls with each client. Gather feedback, surface blockers, track open items, and translate what you hear into clear internal action. Clients need to feel like they have a partner inside Monark who is on top of their needs.
- Help clients win. Help clients win with their end investors/advisors. Support them with marketing collateral, investor education materials, frontend implementation suggestions, and anything else they need to drive adoption on their platform. Their volume on our rails is our scoreboard - you’ll work closely with our marketing team to find creative ways to help activate the end client.
- Quarterback the integration. Keep clients engaged and on track from kickoff through go-live. Coordinate across our product, engineering, compliance, and deal execution teams to remove friction, hit launch dates, and ensure a clean handoff into ongoing operations.
- Match supply to demand. Partner with the supply brokers and deal execution team to launch SPVs, close SPVs, and maintain a regular cadence of deal flow. Know which clients are hungry for what, and stay one step ahead of where the next deal is going.
- Represent Monark externally. Show up as a credible counterpart on every call. Speak fluently about pre-IPO mechanics, SPV structures, our product, and what's coming next.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of account management or relationship management experience, ideally in fintech, financial services, capital markets, or a B2B platform serving wealth management or brokerage clients
- A track record of growing accounts: turning new clients into engaged users
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity. You can take a vague client ask, scope it, route it internally, and come back with a clear answer or a clear plan
- Strong bias toward action.
You'll Stand Out If You Have
- Direct experience with alternative assets, private fund structures, SPVs, or the pre-IPO market
- Prior experience working with broker-dealers, RIAs, custodians, or wealth management platforms as a partner or vendor
- A background that includes client-facing relationship work and some exposure to deal execution or product
- Familiarity with the tools we live in: ClickUp, Slack, Granola, and AI-assisted workflows
Who You Are
- You're a relationship operator. Clients trust you because you do what you say you'll do, you understand their business at a granular level, and private capital markets in general.
- You're commercially driven. You measure your success the same way the business does: in deal volume, in revenue, in client growth. You don't confuse activity with achievement.
- You're deeply curious. You don't just want to know what your clients want; you want to understand why they want it, how it fits into their P&L, and the broader implications of pre-IPO within the context of their business.
- You're an effective communicator. You write clearly and concisely. You're equally comfortable presenting to a client's executive team, aligning internally with leadership, and translating what you heard on a call into a clear internal action item.
- You're results-driven and fast-moving. You take ownership of outcomes. When something is stuck, you unstick it. When a client needs an answer, they get one quickly. When a deal is ready to move, you move it.
The base pay range for this role is $120,000 – $160,000 per year.
