  • Work with the Lead RMA systems Engineering to provide quantitative reliability inputs to trade studies based on reliability theory, including the impacts of the selected technology, applied stresses, quality, redundancy, temperature, wear-out, and environmental impacts.
  • Provide component failure rates, block diagrams etc. in support of Maintainability Engineering analyses, System Safety Hazard Analyses, and Logistics support for deriving Operational Availability (Ao) and range and depth of spares required for mission success.
  • Develop Reliability Growth Test Plans detail test hours, rationale for approach and expected results.
  • Provide inputs to key technical documentation such as the Systems Engineering’s Management Plan (SEMP), Test and Evaluation Program Plan (TEPP), Master Test Plan (MTP) and Integrated Logistics Support Management Plan (ILSMP).
  • Provide RMA allocated inputs into Purchase specifications.
  • Displays excellent technical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to look at the “big picture” in system design, demonstrating ability to devise innovative solutions to problems, at the same time as having focus on RAM data products
  • Prepares reports and presents results to management and clients.
  • Working closely with the project lead Systems Engineer to ensure that Systems Engineering tasks are completed in a timely manner, including tasking engineering personnel to complete analyses, trade papers, tests, etc.
  • Some travel may be required.
Qualifications

Minimum

  • BS degree in Statistics/Mathematics, Reliability, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Systems Engineering,
  • Minimum 5+ years of practical experience in an engineering environment
  • Experience with:
    • Using FMECA and RAM analysis to guide the engineering design process and contribute to lifecycle support concepts.
    • Contributing to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, including system engineering management plans, requirements specifications, verification and test requirements, interface control documents, and integrated logistics data records
    • Developing system requirements and derived requirements. assisting with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components
    • Management of the requirements for reliability, availability, and maintenance and sparing
  • Candidate will have to perform in an ISO-9000 rated company in a rapidly changing and demanding atmosphere.
  • US citizenship required. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Experience developing Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and integrating the results and data with RAM and integrated logistics records and processes
  • Experience with defining failure detection methods, failure mitigations, and linking the mitigations into the test and verification process
  • Work experience with US Department of Defense, and related use of Military reliability references (i.e. MIL-HDBK-217F Reliability Prediction of Electronic Equipment, DoD Reliability and Maintainability Engineering Management Body of Knowledge, etc).
  • Widely recognized for achievements, technical expertise, and professional standing demonstrated by the applicant’s portfolio of work.
