Position Summary:

Swiftly is seeking a high-performing Audience Optimizer (AO) Renewal Director to serve as a strategic advisor to our grocery retail partners, helping them maximize the value of their Audience Optimizer investment while driving long-term retention, growth, and measurable business outcomes.

This is not a traditional account management role. The ideal candidate combines grocery retail expertise, digital marketing and media knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and consultative relationship-building skills. They are naturally curious, able to diagnose business challenges through data, and skilled at developing creative solutions that align with retailer objectives.

The AO Renewal Director will partner with marketing, merchandising, loyalty, and executive stakeholders to identify opportunities to drive incremental sales, increase shopper engagement, acquire new customers, grow loyalty participation, defend against competitive threats, and improve overall marketing effectiveness. Using campaign performance insights, retailer business trends, and industry best practices, this individual will develop strategic recommendations that strengthen retailer outcomes and support renewal and expansion opportunities.

Success in this role requires the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies, build trusted executive relationships, and serve as a consultative partner capable of influencing retailer decision-making at all levels of the organization.

This role reports to the SVP, Retail and plays a critical role in strengthening customer retention, scaling Audience Optimizer adoption, and driving incremental revenue across Swiftly’s retailer portfolio.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Own the end-to-end renewal lifecycle for Audience Optimizer (AO) across Swiftly’s retailer portfolio in partnership with the assigned Sales Director
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on retention, expansion, and long-term customer value
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to retailer marketing, merchandising, loyalty, and executive leadership teams
  • Analyze retailer business performance, campaign results, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and risks
  • Translate campaign performance data and closed-loop measurement insights into actionable recommendations and business strategies
  • Diagnose retailer challenges and develop creative solutions leveraging Audience Optimizer capabilities, including:
    • Digital Circular Amplification
    • Loyalty acquisition and engagement
    • Competitive conquesting
    • New customer acquisition
    • Seasonal and promotional campaigns
    • Store traffic and basket growth initiatives
    • Lead strategic business reviews and planning sessions that connect campaign outcomes to broader retailer objectives
    • Partner with Analytics and Ad Operations teams to identify performance drivers, optimization opportunities, and future campaign strategies
    • Consult retailers on audience targeting, campaign planning, budget allocation, channel strategy, and measurement methodologies
    • Build compelling renewal and expansion business cases through performance storytelling, data analysis, and strategic recommendations
    • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships across retailer organizations
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Analytics, Product, and Ad Operations teams to ensure successful campaign execution and customer outcomes
    • Proactively identify risks to renewal and develop mitigation strategies to improve retention
    • Maintain accurate forecasting for renewals, expansions, and growth opportunities
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on Audience Optimizer, grocery marketing strategy, loyalty marketing, and digital media best practices
    • Other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in grocery retail, shopper marketing, retail media, digital advertising, loyalty marketing, customer analytics, or related strategic marketing roles
  • Deep understanding of grocery retail operations, promotional planning, merchandising cycles, digital circulars, and shopper behavior
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate campaign performance, identify trends, diagnose business challenges, and develop data-driven recommendations
  • Experience developing strategic marketing, media, or customer engagement plans that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Expertise in digital marketing and media, including audience targeting, media planning, campaign optimization, attribution, and performance measurement
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and executive-level recommendations
  • Experience using first-party data, loyalty insights, customer segmentation, and closed-loop measurement methodologies
  • Demonstrated success leading consultative business discussions focused on strategic planning, problem solving, and growth initiatives
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders ranging from marketing managers to executive leadership
  • Experience driving customer retention, renewals, account growth, or strategic client success initiatives
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while managing multiple retailer relationships
