Company Description

Markets Group, a leading financial events company for institutional and private wealth investors, is recruiting a few good reporters who can write about asset classes, markets and investors in a way that keeps readers engaged on the page. This news team will go beyond daily market and finance headlines and present news for sophisticated, next-level investors on why it all matters.

We will present case studies on investors who are doing things well, and why. And scoops on what’s happening. We are looking for reporters who can explain and analyze market changes, write and interview for in-depth stories, explain new trends in finance, and break news on institutional investors, money managers and service providers.

Our goal is to become a trusted news source to help those who invest for pension plans, endowments, foundations, family offices and private wealth, in order to protect the millions of people who rely on their funds. This journalist will report and produce editorial content on issues facing some of the largest money managers and investors in the world. Such content includes, but is not limited to, breaking news articles, news analysis, news features and enterprise reporting, along with some video and social media posts.

If you have a specialty in a particular asset class, we'd love to hear from you. Please include strong clips on the subject in your application, as well as a cover letter. This is an office optional position.

We offer a creative, upbeat and exciting workplace that values curiosity, a sense of mission, excellence in reporting, top-notch writing skills, and innovation. We prioritize in-depth, analytical reporting and narrative writing. We value talent, and this position will give reporters the opportunity to break news and talk to some of the most influential investors in the world.

Qualified applicants must have the courage to approach investors, have great conversations that uncover information, and be able to tell insightful stories that dig deep into trends effecting institutional investing in the United States as well as the world.
