Job Description:

Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science to develop innovative solutions for challenges in computer software. Write training code for large-scale models and conduct experiments to develop state-of-the-art systems for Speech AI tasks, such as Asynchronous and Streaming Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Develop both training and inference software to facilitate the productionization of AI systems and write analytical software to extract insights from these models. Collaborate closely with the engineering team to deploy new models into production, ensuring their continuous improvement. Partner with the data infrastructure team to enhance data quality and optimize the data processing pipeline. Staying at the forefront of AI research, share key insights across the company and engage with the broader AI community through publishing and participating in conferences.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, information technology, business and information systems or related. The employer will accept educational equivalency evaluation prepared by a qualified evaluation service or in accordance with 8 CFR §214.2(h)(4)(iii)(D), based on a combination of degrees or diplomas or a bachelor’s equivalent obtained through a single two-degree program. 
  • Experience: 2 years experience as researcher, developer or related.
  • Special Skills: The position requires 1 year of experience with each of the following: Python; PyTorch framework; TPUs (Tensor Processing Unit) and GPUs (Graphic Processing Unit); JAX framework; CNNs (Convolutional Neural Network); Transformers; SSL (Self Supervised Learning); and S2S (Sequence-to-Sequence) neural networks.

Salary Range: $189,000.00 to $231,000.00 per annum

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Work Location: 72 Greene Street, 4th floor, New York, NY 10012. The position offers the benefit of working remotely from home anywhere in the US. Occasional travel up to two times per year for team offsites which are usually either in the US or Europe.
