Simplistic is looking for a Retention Analyst to support our growing Retention Strategy team. This role is ideal for someone who loves turning data into actionable insights, is passionate about understanding customer behavior, and wants to contribute to the development of best-in-class lifecycle strategies.

You’ll work alongside senior strategists and cross-functional teams to analyze customer data, identify trends, and inform the design of retention programs that keep customers coming back.

This is not an account or campaign management role — you will not be managing client relationships or executing day-to-day campaigns. Instead, you’ll focus on data analysis, strategic reporting, and insight generation that powers retention strategy across Simplistic’s client portfolio.

As a Retention Analyst, this role could include:

  • Analyze customer lifecycle and retention data to identify trends, churn risks, and growth opportunities
  • Support the development of retention strategies across email, SMS, loyalty, subscription, referral, and direct mail programs
  • Build dashboards and reports to track key metrics like lifetime value (LTV), repurchase rate, and churn
  • Conduct cohort, segmentation, and behavioral analyses to inform personalization and targeting
  • Evaluate campaign and automation performance to surface actionable insights for the strategy team
  • Partner with senior strategists to prepare presentations and data stories for internal and client review
  • Maintain data accuracy and reporting consistency across multiple retention marketing tools and platforms

Required Competencies

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing analytics, data analysis, or lifecycle marketing
  • Familiarity with email and SMS marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, etc.), as well as Hiro Analytics
  • Understanding of customer lifecycle metrics such as churn, retention rate, LTV, and repeat purchase rate
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving through data
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to turn complex data into clear insights
  • Experience in eCommerce, DTC, or subscription-based businesses is a plus

Preferred Competencies

  • Experience analyzing data from CRM or retention tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Shopify, Google Analytics)
  • Exposure to A/B testing, customer segmentation, or lifecycle reporting
  • Basic familiarity with automation flows or lifecycle campaign logic
