The Opportunity
As a Risk Consulting Intern, you will engage with clients to help them navigate regulatory requirements and enterprise risks through compliance, governance, and controls solutions. Within our Advisory practice, you will be part of a team that guides clients towards sustainable growth and competitive advantage in today's dynamic market. This role offers a unique chance to gain exposure to a variety of industries and develop a comprehensive understanding of risk management strategies.
As an Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments. This position emphasizes the importance of taking both observational and participatory roles on teams, allowing you to develop your personal brand and contribute to the team's success.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply a learning mindset, actively listen, and express ideas clearly. You will gather information from a range of sources to analyze facts and discern patterns, all while committing to understanding how the business works and building commercial awareness. Responsibilities
- Supporting teams in conducting compliance reviews and risk assessments to identify gaps and benchmark against best practices
- Participating in the implementation of compliance programs, including defining areas of risk and setting standards
- Observing and learning from professionals in the field to gain exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to validate adherence to laws and regulations
- Conducting research on regulatory requirements and enterprise risks to support client projects
- Engaging in active listening and accepting feedback to enhance personal development and contribute to team success
- Collaborating with colleagues to maintain ethical practices and drive compliance with regulations
- Applying a learning mindset to understand business operations and build commercial awareness
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics & Business, Regulatory, Public Health
- Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
- Preferred major GPA: 3.3
- Leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working and deliver distinctive outcomes
- Demonstrating enthusiasm for learning and gaining exposure to risk management practices
- Supporting teams with basic tasks and research in regulatory compliance
- Participating in projects that focus on compliance and governance solutions
- Observing and learning from PwC's Conduct and Compliance methodologies
The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
