GovWorx is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Analyst to join our growing sales team. This is an entry-level role designed for a curious, energetic, and tech-savvy individual who enjoys research, data, and connecting the dots across the world of state and local government.
As a Sales Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in helping our sales organization stay organized, informed, and efficient. You’ll dig deep into public records, identify key agency initiatives, and uncover opportunities that drive growth and detailed contact information at public safety agencies. This position offers a front-row seat to the world of SaaS sales to government agencies and serves as a strong launchpad to grow into an Account Executive or Sales Operations role over time.
About the RoleMarket & Contact Research:
Investigate and map out key contacts within public safety agencies. Use a variety of tools, online databases, and meeting minutes to uncover decision-makers, initiatives, and funding opportunities.
Sales Administration & Support:
Assist the sales team with CRM data accuracy, list management, email tracking, and reporting. Help maintain clean and current records of deals, prospects, and agency information in HubSpot.
Opportunity Discovery:
Monitor local government meeting agendas, RFP portals, and news sources to identify emerging technology initiatives or funding programs relevant to 911, law enforcement, and EMS agencies.
Agency Outreach Preparation:
Support the sales team by researching prospects before outreach — understanding their pain points, recent projects, and potential fit for GovWorx solutions.
Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with account executives and marketing to share findings, assist with territory planning, and prepare strategic briefs that give sales leaders a competitive edge.
Process Improvement:
Proactively identify ways to streamline research and administrative processes. Suggest new tools or automations to improve efficiency across the sales organization.
A strong interest in selling into government operations, especially at the local and state level.
Excellent computer literacy and comfort with online research, spreadsheets, and CRM systems (experience with HubSpot is a plus).
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills — you’ll summarize complex findings and communicate clearly with internal teams.
A naturally curious, persistent, and resourceful personality — you enjoy finding answers and aren’t afraid to pick up the phone to confirm details.
A collaborative mindset with a desire to learn from experienced SaaS professionals and grow within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
